Pro tip if you search up traxxas t-maxx telemetry you can get every optional telemetry sensor (rpm, temp, voltage) for cheaper than buying each sensor separately
Nice guide, to connect the + for battery you also don't need this cable with red connector. Simply unplug the small red connector expand the + cable to + battery. So with that setup you just need the temperature holder... which you also don't really need you can do it yourself . So in my words, just buy the sensor all the rest you can handle with 0 problems just a bit creativity :)

Quick question, will it read my battery voltage if I don't have a Traxxas battery?
yes
put the battery connector in the controller box... Why keep a connection in the elements if you don't need to.

How do you acheive the clinometer gauges in the traxxas app dashboard?
How did you solder voltage wire on to red esc wire? Did you wrap it around + wire or just lined it up or soldered directly to copper plate? i know its a small space, did you have to peel back insulation at all? thanks for the help
Im not very good with soldering! I peeled back the insulation by a few mm, then wrapped the red wire and applied solder on top.....

I am guessing one can skip the power tap part and just run a wire from battery positive to the sensor connector?
yes that will work fine!
I may have to do that myself. I just ordered the temp/volt sensor, but didn't know I needed other extra parts. It seemed simple enough, so I may do the solder connection when I track down the missing piece
Did you just remove the positive lead from the esc battery connector and solder on the extra wire?

I have the power tab cable, but it doesn’t connect into the battery wire that comes out of the car

How did you get the angle on the Traxxas app?

no need to buy the "power tap" just plug the red plug into the extra ch1 plug for power
you will have 6v only if you plug like that !!

Yeah you need to buy so parts so that the parts you've already bought work. You learn this after you buy those parts. I feel jipped.
yeah but who else sells cars with built in all included telemetry.
Why so complicate? You only need the Expander 2.0 and nothing more for this features
Where are you supposed to place the small piece of thermal tape they include with the temperature sensor fastener kit ?
