Thanks for making this one. Considering just how different the operating system is, I'm surprised I don't see more channels putting similar videos out.
One really good way to clean the piston is to take a 1 ounce glass bottle (sometimes used to hold essential oils) and fill it with your carbon solvent. I simply immerse the piston and let it soak about 30 minutes, works great.
Multiple camera angles, getting fancy! Also for some reason I'm now thinking livestreaming cleaning freedom seed dispensers while talking dad jokes the entire time would be highly entertaining, though YT would probably find the levels of fun to be had offensive.
Not that I'll need this video anytime soon (or ever) but nice techniques for basic cleaning/lubing of firearms. I find that Scott's Shop towels work very well for wiping away debris and they hold together far better than normal paper towels and are fairly lint free.
Just a question, but why do you play with that little Q-tip around and try to find some dirt spots to pick up. The more easily way would be, to take a bigger container and spray the gun with brake cleaner, that cleans everything out and is super quick.
One wonders if all those gas checks or whatever in the piston are really necessary. What purpose do they really serve? Plenty of gas pistons don't harmve them.
Thanks for the instructional video. I'll make sure my gun butler watches it before cleaning my Laugo.
You actually speak to your gun butler?
I have a guy who barks orders at mine, can't be seen mingling with the poors.
LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Will never own one of these, still enjoy your videos, and your uspsa videos have helped me immensely.
That looks fun. I love cleaning my firearms
It's like an open heart surgery. how beautiful is simplicity.

Mrs. HumbleMarksman is gonna wonder why her dining room table smells like solvent and gun oil at her next bridge party.
That’s what the cleaning mat is for!
@@TheHumbleMarksman …ah, TheCleverMarksman. 😉👍🏻
The hands exude BDE which in turn creates a natural lubricant for the creator’s product.
(Hoping this comment throws off the Bots in the comment)
Lol

Keep the bore snake and use FiltZ metal polish to finish with and Blaster solvent to get the tough lead out of the bore. On the cheap.
How long does one of the Spartan cleaning kits last you? I’m looking to pick up some new cleaning stuff.
I have been using this kit for two years and I clean my open guns a good bit
I love this channel! Do you shoot any rifles? Would love to see some rifle content in the future! Maybe IDPA PCC?
Nice! I've been considering buying a green & black Alien full kit, do you feel they are worth the money? Thanks

What happened to the BDE at the start of your videos? I miss them 😢
Cute gloves nancy.
Found the guy who hasn’t shot enough to have lead level issues
The Bots are being attracted to the BDE
I’m not entirely sure why, but I think you need to do one of these while wearing a Bob Ross fuzzy wig.
No dad joke? Big sad ;~;
Anyhow, any plans for reviewing the new Apollo 11 compact?
Yes! Probably April timeframe
@@TheHumbleMarksman You take request? In that case how about a review of Military Armament Corporation 2011 style gun.
What the heck is with these weird bot comments? 😂
youtube being lazy and not doing bot hunting.
Probably some sort of pay-per-comment scheme.
Someone’s jealy of not talking to hot chicks on the internet all day.
They’re just really into the shooting sports /jk
Report them
Does your wife know you're using her tooth brush?
It’s mine - I never use it for my teeth so put it to use
