I noticed there are a few people saying "ferrothorn swapping would have ruined this" While this Is certainly true, there Is also some things to consider. will space this down to avoid spoilers. 1). You know what the strategy Is In the title because you have been told by me, this Is classic hindsight thought. Not many would have 100% guessed what was happening and It wasn't obvious I was going to only use perish song right away with absol. (Sure when skill swap was Introduced, but ferrothorn was not at any real disadvantage. (It was still hitting me every now and then like any of the other 5 pokemon could do. 2). Ferrothorn stayed in the entire time relentlessly hitting (attempting) me with gyro ball and stopping me from using spore due to it's grass typing. Swapping in any other pokemon would do the same job with the evasion I had up, the only thing that may have stopped it was a z move (100% accuracy) or ferrothornn (and any other pokemon) getting lucky and stopping my set up by not missing. If you watch carefully ferrothorn actually ran out of Gyro ball just as or close to Absol coming in. This left It only with one attacking move , power whip which Is poor accuracy and 2 status moves leech seed , toxic. I was behind a sub making the 2 status moves useless and ferrothorn only had power whip to rely on. It makes sense It swapped as It was not favourable conditions as earlier when It had a 100% accuracy move and a good type advantage vs spore smeargle. I decided to take a risk and use perish song right away in hopes they swapped and I was very lucky as this could have gone wrong like it had done already many times. If this didn't happen I would have just kept using substitute until the opponent either got fed up missing and swapped or pp stalled or dc'd. The main advantage of this sweep was also it's greatest weakness as the first pokemon was required to swap after I copied it's ability. It didn't really matter what pokemon was there as I had evasion up for any moves. (I wanted to use smeargle with spore to encourage a swap , however the matchup prevented this. I first wanted to do this with absol only as the hit I had attached was red card, this was my means of getting them to swap. I decided to try It with a mega and got a luccky swap after countless fails. 3). "Why did the opponent not swap". They could NOT swap due to mean look. I used this on the second turn after an initial perish song, usually I would mean look to begin with but I thought I would see how long I could get away with it for. Ultimately If they adapted and swapped after 1 perish song, I would and could have simply used mean look at the beginning of every matchup. I continued to do It as I was able to get away with it. This seems pretty basic and had no real effect on the battle whatsoever. As per usual every strategy has flaws and this has so many it's not funny. Hope this answers a few basic factors that I experienced in attempting this strategy :) Next time I will Include a detailed analysis of the battle In the outro, I encourage all the people who had this thought to listen at the end next time, thanks for giving a good idea!
Basculin sweep. All it needs is adaptibility, Liquidation and a mystic water. Yeah u can see where I'm goin' and if u also have a smeargle that has swords dance and agility then the Basculin would be pure hell

His opponent could have stalled out his Perish Song if they had the sense to switch when he used it, he always used Mean Look second so there was a always a turn where switching was an option.
Also the z-move was wasted, he should have waited to break the sub first. Either with his low accuracy moves on tornados or another pokemon in the last turn of perish song

Full rage quit team! Slowking/slowbro Corsola Audino Amoonguss/foongus Toxapex/mareanie Tangela All with the regenerator ability and max ivs and evs in defense and special defense. All with either assault vest or eviolite to boost defense and special defence as high as you can get them. Then all you have to do is keep switching pokemon (strategical changes may be required to avoid getting hit by super effective moves). Edit: could also sub out one of those pokemon for Mienshao with taunt to avoid being set up on.

These sweeps kinda only work if the opponent is stupid. Opponent could've just kept switching until Perish Songs PP ran out, without trying to attack, he could've switched Ferrothorn as soon as Skill Swap was used, and so on.
@@zorquil Swap a pokemon in, swap it out. It's you take 2 PP off of Perish Song rather than just one per Pokemon.With 8 max PP, it's pretty straight forward, really.

It'd prevent the opponent from switching out, yes, but it'd also mean, if the opponent hits him the turn he uses mean look, he needs to set up another substitute, which then again means he has one more turn before perish song ends, and so on. In general, sweeps such as that mainly work if opponents have both a very imbalanced teamsetup and also a lack of understanding what's going on. Especially during the setup portion.

I love Pimpnite theme teams and sweeps these ones are to make work is all relative in Pokemon games,What about a "YourBoss" sweep?: Use a pay day snorlax nicknamed YourBoss Pay day,Belly drum,rest,sleep talk I guess I dont need to explain the joke, also you will need a strategy to pull this off since fighting types can destroy snorlax and pay day cant hit ghost type.
