Last time seems to be when Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät performed the song "Aina mun pitää" in 2015 in Vienna. Käärijä told in a press conference after he returned to Helsinki, that he doesn't plan to participate ESC anymore, but he could do an interval act, if he is paid enough. (I would assume, that if the Swedes want him to perform in Sweden, they'll have to pay more.)
I love Finnish, i'ts such a beautiful fluid language. I only have limited exposure from a few Children of Bodom songs (all the other Finnish bands I listen to perform in English) and one of my lecturers at university (how a Finn ended up in rural England I do not know 😂😂) but it's such a delight to listen to. Gutted for Käärijä, he did amazing at Eurovision, but happy for a new artist to listen to!
