    Superb again so many memories of our trip over to buxton and bakewell the chee dale valley is wonderful and its certainly one for the future millersdale and the whole trail is so etched into our memory and so special ..The Cottages at blackmill where one of our first stops and its so photogenic round there..simply breath taking ...its the sheer rock faces that i envy Patrick as lancashire is such a flat county ... anyway this gives us something to look forward too....Thank you so much for another brilliant video .....regards Frank & Lee.....

    Well, those twenty minute's felt more like only five. That's a sign of a good video. I'm like yourself, i get frustrated at thing's then rant lol. Lovely to know that your family member was coming to stay especially after lockdown alone. It's been a horrid year or so all round. Loved the scenery and splendid walk. What a beautiful channel you've created. Cheers.

    Another great video Patrick. Back one summer in the late seventies, some friends and I went camping in Buxton on our bikes, but we never made it, because we underestimated the time it would take to get there. So we ended up camping in a field, near Taddington. A lovely lady who lived nearby bought us tea and toast in the morning! We went for an explore the next morning and walked alongside the river at Cheedale. I remember it vividly, but I could never remember where it was all these years later. Now, thanks to your video, I know.

    Our local haunts. We live in Blackwell. Cheedale a great spot to take visitors..and love the walk alongside the river Wye.....one of the cleanest rivers in the country..and I once bumped into Larry Lamb there, next to the viaduct, where his son was about to abseil down. They were filming for their father and son cycle ride series....excellent. A really friendly chap.

    Another lovely video Patrick. I've got 26 of your videos saved into a playlist on my TH-cam account... more than any other film maker. I find it helps with my anxiety levels too. As lots of other film makers stare into the camera for long periods and it affects my anxiety a lot being stared at. Yours are very mellow and you set the camera up in lots of different situations. And show us lots of scenery. I have found that with some of your videos like the Hollow Of Hutton the cover photo doesn't look like it was sunny so I've shied away from it.. . Only to find out later it's different than that. I'm pleased you're still making these great videos for us. Thanks Patrick.

    Thanks for your time making these brilliant videos Patrick. I walk a lot in the peaks, mostly keeping local as I’m not far from you in Clay Cross. Have you ever walked round Ashover as it’s only down the hill from where you live. Good views from ashover rock and Overton plus walking beside the river amber to milltown . Enjoy if you havnt been already.👍

      Glad you like them Alec, thank you for watching and for your nice comments. Yes I've done walks around Ashover before now. Normally have been there to meet friends (one from Clay Cross) as it's about halfway between us, so we go into the Old Poets and sometimes the other two pubs in the village 👍

      @@solitaryrambler Old Poets remains as Red Lion in many locals minds, (used to be White Lion next door, now a house), then Crispin agin the Church and Black Swan at top. If you head south to Milltown (also now a house) was The Greyhound and just down the lane towards Butterley remains the Miners Arms.

    Fantastic walk Patrick. Some real highlights there. Chee Dale sure is beautiful. Tough question - which of the Peak District dales is your favourite? I agree that a walk is the perfect antidote to improve a stressful situation. I’ve not been out in the Peaks for a few weeks as I’ve been moving house. Really missing the place and can’t wait to get back out soon. Always nice to watch one of your videos though to help remind me how beautiful it is there

    Hey Patrick I resonate with you swearing mate. Some situations call for a blow out in frustration. But a nice calming walk after the storm is always welcome. And this did not disappoint. The other Wye sure does have a lot to offer. That gorge is mesmerizing. I can imagine the constant look up, down and around and what with unique steps to negotiate stimulating on all levels. Cool to meet some more folk and about to. Good going. Have a great weekend. Mark

    Watched this one whilst waiting to see how the weather pans out. Loved those stepping stones. Hope you had a good birthday Patrick. 90 minutes of my 60th was spent at the chiropractor, trying to sort out my back😂😂😂😂. I see this walk took you the best part of eight hours, which goes to show how much time and effort it takes just to record these walks, then you have to edit the film, lay on the musical track etc......

    • @solitaryrambler
      @solitaryrambler  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Paul, yeah the birthday was really nice. Hope you've recovered now! It did indeed take nearly 8 hours to film this, the reason why I kept mentioning the time as I went along. I might expand on that in a future film. Thanks again Paul 👍

    Hi Patrick. I sympathise with you about your software and computer malfunctions. Had similar experiences myself. What kind of software/computer are you using? (Apple iMac PC's are usually reliable.) As usual nice gentle refrain waltz music. Chee Dale crossing warnings reminded me of our Dean Clough warnings. At least the stepping stones were above water ! 👍 p.s. excellent camera angles. Belated birthday wishes.

      Hi Shanita, the issue has thankfully been sorted since I shot this, which I do expand on in a couple of films I've still yet to edit, but it was my Pinnacle Studio editing software that was faulty. Relieved to have got past that now. Glad you liked the waltz in this, I'll probably record more of this in other films. I need to go back to Chee Dale after heavy rain to see if the stones are under water next time! 😂 Thanks for the birthday wishes Shanita and for watching 👍
