Thanks for tuning in! It has been quite the month for soccer fans, and want to make sure Inter Miami fans also get their fill (though last night's game was not fun to watch!)

I fell in love with soccer coaching my kids in soccer. It’s a lovely game.

It's a great sport. Fun fact: in a 3-hour American football game, the ball is in motion an average of 17 minutes. Soccer games the ball is moving nearly 90 minutes (minus throw ins and players faking injuries. hahaha). Thanks for tuning in.

I began playing futbol in the first grade. During lunch break we just made two teams and played in a small field (grass or cement). When I got to middle school I also began playing after school. Same thing with friends, with normal street shoes and in our school uniforms. If we were few players we just threw sweaters to the ground to use as the goals. Never had a coach or parents watching the games. It was the most natural thing. When I entered high school I began training with the varsity team and playing real games in a uniform and with referees. I wasn't that good, but managed to play for a month in the lower divisions of a pro team. Futbol is a game to play with friends. If you are good you progress. But if you have to pay to play....that is not good.
If you are good you will be seen by a youth academy of a pro team (be it any division) or of a youth academy of a good amateur team. That is the advantage of having relegation in a league with a good pyramid system. With relegation the opportunity and possibility of young kids being seen is greatly improved. How else can a country like Uruguay with a population of 3.4 million surpass a nation like the US with a population of 330 million? Because the kids play, and they can be seen without the hastle of having to pay to play.
Ps. I kept playing amateur club futbol with my friends until I "retired" at 40. But that is futbol, a game to play with friends. Cant be forced or coerced.

Losing and winning become habits. IM now has the winning habit. Getting rid of the high line with slow defenders was key.

the USNT needs a much better coach, a tough guy kinda-type that manage the players with a short leash

Soccer doesn’t compete for top athletes with other sports. That’s not an excuse for US soccer. Look at Messi, in what other sports he can be a dominant player?

Great show as always...well said Michelle in a country of 300,000 million there are definitely 23 better players than this! It doesn't seem a golden generation to me or the charm of our past players either, it's over saturated with social media and not able to provide results! It was disheartening that after a search and so much money spent all they did was hire the same coach, very bad PR and I can also say in a country of 300,000 he was the best choice for coach? Why not a Jeff Cassar, Gio Savarese or someone like that or even a return of Bruce Arena for 2 yrs would have been better! We just flush out our old MLS coaches who should be taken over to our USA lower levels, once they leave a team to provide wisdom - we have talented US coaches we just don't rotate them around. At least Colombia is good because my Italy and USA were embarrassing 👀 🙈 🇨🇴, Italia : )

In south America children play football everyday on street corners, on their streets with friends and relatives . They learn to improvise with cans and boxes it takes a long time before they get a football American children don't know how to save juice boxes then stuff into each until it big enough to be kicked around.
Players need to take responsibility for their succes and fight as a team
