I've been searching YT clips on climbing photography for months now, and just watched this. It's far and away the best and most useful film I have seen so far. Very engaging, articulate and clear presenter (and crew), and I'm looking forward to seeing more of them. Thank you!
7:41photography tip: Don't have an interview in a forced perspective kind of setup so your athlete and mountain guide doesn't look like a Hobbit while talking.
Truly uninformed comment, a drone cannot fly $6-8K worth of camera/lenses (inches away from a cliff face, depending on the composition) hundreds of feet off the deck. A drone would work just fine if you don't care about image quality, composition or having your drone\camera destroyed when a breeze pushes it into the cliff.

Love this I truly enjoy capturing kayakers on whitewater hopefully going for a first time climb .Awesome pictures!
Beautifully done. I really like her systems. Clever use of gear and not overly cautious and needlessly complicated.
I have been waiting so long for something like this to come out. Thank you🙌🏼
Idk about you guys but I die a little inside when I see that beautiful lens sitting there with no cap on.
fantastic video, such a great resource
ufff, for climbing I always take my m43 system to the wall, respect to bringing such a heavy camera :)
Excellent!! 👏👏👏
Is it just me, or at 9:13 does the rock look like a face, almost like the Easter island guys, give a whole new meaning to the word “rock face”
What is a good Climbing Photography school? I am ready to move toward my passion of outdoor sports photography.
Thank you for the video! Loved this type of content!
I've only got one question... about the rope... do you use static or dynamic? :)
static!
Does anyone know what lenses she is using?
What does she do with the brake strand of the main rope when she is hanging in the GriGri and photographing? It shouldn't slip, but...
You tie a knot just under where your grigri is, so that way if it does slip you’ll only fall a few inches
Bro just the sound of the gear…
What does she use for the foot strap? Looks like a sling and…?
Probably just a standard aider foot loop
does anyboy know what harness she is using?
What is the mechanical prusik they are using?
It’s the Petzl ASAP. The rigging guy mentions it right around 12:02

Drone might make your life easier
It's just dead weight if windy, and it usually is
A drone also effects the concentration of the athlete, and you can't legally fly them in many of the world's best climbing areas.
