Pure yumminess- I got to remember that one! This doesn’t look as bad now that you are really looking at it - gonna be a cool project if you decide to go for it. You are young and smart enough- I say go for it! 4 post rops instead of a full cab would be cool.
I would only rebuild if you have the shop space to keep things labeled and organized. If not just disassemble everything, clean all the parts up, and part it out
It's rebuildable. Whether it's worth it or not is another argument. Lots of 4440's out there. You'd learn a lot working on it, that might be worth something.
Radiator can be fixed you can get a complete cab steering and many of those components for not too much maybe 2k and even maybe find some decent tires on rims..... If onelonelyfarmer can rebuild a 4960 that was worse of this is minor...get the cab ir filter and you might even find a parts tractor that would do right... dont let these ninnys keep you from doing it... It would make some great content it was probably the battery cables... thats what started the 4960 on fire
Drain the oils out of the engine and trans and see what it looks like, if the oil looks rough from the heat, I’d be concerned about he internal seals and bearings. You maybe in for a long overhaul, or a short few parts and new paint repair
I checked on the average auction price 20000 to 59000+ I would think that if you could rebuild it for 20 to 30000 then not a bad deal and you know what you have buy one that looks good and might have issues
I've seen salvage yards sell cabs that are completely rebuilt with fresh interior kits. Onelonyfarmer had his 4960 burn up and it was in worse condition than yours is. He did a video series on the rebuild.
Unless you have a passion to rebuild part it out or use the parts on another 4440 you find. You have no idea what the fire and heat did. There is a reason wreckers get the burnt equipment its not worth the problems imo.
I think you should go ahead and repair the tractor maybe without the cab, look at the experience you will get at the end of it, Also it will make some good TH-cam videos.Get some costings of the parts you will need before you decide.

I'd consider a rebuild as an open-station, fenderless tractor, just like great-grandpa had. But it still might be better to part it out.
Open station would look cool on that tractor 👍

Colfax sells tractor cabs every day, it looks not tjay bad. I think a new used cab and hood and a wire harness and it should be good
Would be cool to rebuild it but the cost I'm sure overweighs the cool factor
What do think caused the fire . The circuit breakers should have protected before a short could cause a fire
Open station 4440 would be sweet

Ez rebuild get a cab harness and hoses been there before rebuilt mine in 2 months a couple hrs a night hood paint on it you should be fine
Time to do an open station conversion!!!!

do the rebuild bro. u got this.
I would definitely rebuilt it and just go all out on it you will not regret it
Would make a nice looking wheatland style 4440 if the parts match up ???
I say give it a try and then if it falls through, sell it for parts.

Looks like she got pretty hot buddy. I would have to wonder if it’s worth trying to fix good luck man.
Looks like a dirty job. Maybe you can rebuild to an open station ? Stay safe !
Give it a bath, and check the oil and go from there.
id love to see a rebuild

I would make it an open cab, A/C and heat delete.
Go check out one lonely farmer he had a 4960 he rebuild after fire just did a cab and sent it
If you got the funds amd the time id say rebuild it! And you can probably sell it for 30k rebuilt and new paint
Go for it
Turn it into a open station tractor
Start checking salvage yards, ya never know what you will find.
Cut out the wires and bad hoses and everything else burned, and then give it a pressure wash and it'll start to look like it's ready for a rebuild.

What did it cost to buy back from insurance company?
It made me sick watching that cab being ripped off. That's devastating to watch

"Forensic assessment"!
Cost doesn't justify it.
Put a tube in that back left tire it’ll be fine 😂
Make it an open station teactor
Make it a open Station
OH DEERE!
I’d parts it
Use the profit to buy another one to parts out
Salvage for parts
Openstation 4440 pull tractor?
Be great to run the silo blower....
I say fix it
