The second one threw me off! I taught myself ukulele by watching TH-cam and I needed this so much to get to the next level. Thank you so much!

The 3rd one was easily the most challenging, stopping it on the "three and". I love it though as it will help me coordinate better. Thank you for the video!

I appreciate the slow before the fast - that goes a long way to playing correctly. You're great at teaching fundamentals which are the essence of great playing. Thanks for sharing your talent!

Thank you so much. This was really helpful. The last strumming pattern was most challenging for me but I will keep practicing.

I like that you dont have a lot of unnecessary talking. The play along part needs to be at least 2 minutes long to get the rhythm down really good. Otherwaise thank you for good instruction and not being condescending.

Thank you for this video's tutorial..its helpful..to be able to see the music notations clearly for each strum pattern. I wonder if you also can spare another tutorial for the rhythm such as how to play DDDDU of various patterns (several music notations) - which indicate to which song respectively..? Because i find it confusing every time when trying songs on DDDDU..although it looks simple but actually not sure of which music notations it represent ? Just need few ideas if it is not much to ask, thank you again for your great effort in making sure the students understand the rhythm. Really appreciate it !!

Figuring out the right strumming pattern can be difficult and confusing! The challenge with simple down up notation is sometimes the note length is not provided. So sometimes down strums fall on quarter note beats and other times eighth notes beats and even sixteenth note beats. As a rule of thumb, down strums fall on number beats and up strums commonly fall on the offbeat (the "and" of the beat). But a lot of down up notation isn't going to give you this context which means you have to fill in the blanks so to speak and apply it to that specific song's count. This question is exactly why I made the Strumming Tricks course that I teach over at my website. It provides you the framework to figure out the right strumming pattern for all kinds of songs and gives you the skills, knowledge, and practice to be able to do that. I will continue to talk about this in future videos as well here on the TH-cam channel! Thank you for your comment and feedback :)
