As an aspiring refinisher, I can totally appreciate the amount creativity, skill and patience that went into this Modern Cane Showpiece. Cutting out the centre piece and rotorring 1/4" to accommodate the cane requires "next level" skill. I've learned a lot from your craftsmanship and painting techniques e.g. adding paint thinner to primer, dowel fastening. I'm also amazed by the quality of the video. The close ups, fast forwards with sound effects create a "reality show documentary" feel. The text explanation provide just enough instructional info and blend in seamlessly. Keep up the amazing work!
What I like about your work is that you don't just restore it, but rather turn it into something ten times more beautiful. Love your work and also the video work.
Well, " WOW" is all I can say, all the way from Johannesburg South Africa ,I love your restoration and skillful woodwork . Beautifull work and craftmanship. Love watching your channel.
I would love it if you created something modern out of old pallets. To see pallets made into a modern piece of furniture would be so fun. I know that with your creative talent it would turn out to be something amazing.
I’ve missed you Andy…your furniture makeover videos are the absolute best on TH-cam!!! I hope you and yours are staying safe with everything going on in your country…sending prayers for all Canadians.
That was a great transformation, and as always the woodworking was first rate. The cane work was fabulous. I always enjoy your videos because you go above and beyond flipping and restoration. Looking forward to the video on those drawers.
Thank you so much!! And unfortunately there isn't a video for the process of what I did with those drawers, just the final photos over on my Instagram 😅
Thought you moved on to another interest...missed you and your tremendous talent. Don't scare a person. Excellent as always. Beyond excellent...have to figure out how to describe your next endeavor. Thank you for coming back
So good to have you back. Thank you for this lovely video. I specially enjoy your sound-work: the windy breathing sound at the end while presenting the Nordic beauty! Just perfect!
I love your videos. Your craftsmanship and ingenuity help me to build and restore better. The fact that there is no talking helps me to visually focus. Well done!
Yay an Andy vid! 😭 I don't know how your vids can be both so soothing and exciting to watch at the same time. I just started to pick up woodworking and your precision and attention to detail is inspiring me to work more. 😤 That nail trick is incredibly big brain. Beautiful and creative work as always man, thank you for uploading!
Another masterpiece my friend....Love your skills/No talk to distract/Video skills...In this troubled world of War and destruction we desperately need more people like you.
I’m genuinely always so impressed and excited by the work you do. It’s all truly so beautiful and your attention to detail is phenomenal. Looking forward to what comes next!
This piece is SO BEAUTIFUL!!!! You did the best cane application I have ever seen! The handles are awesome! Everything you do is amazingly pretty and contemporary! You transform the furniture into their best version ever! I enjoyed the video so mush.
Absolutely beautiful!! I’ve watched several on TH-cam do the cane either replacing what was glass or cutting out a space in the drawers. But typically don’t (which drives me bonkers) do what you did with the trim and cover where you trimmed the cane after attaching it. This looks so finished and professional. I have a dresser that I want to do the same thing, but didn’t want to leave it unfinished looking inside and wasn’t sure what to do. So thank you for this, now I know to router out a notch where I’ll attach the cane and add the trim to cover those edges. Looks amazing!💜
Hi Andy lovely to see you again. I have missed seeing you and your work. Another great job on this old Cabinet. I really like the cane in doors. Bye for now young fella ☺👍👍🙏
Lovely! You are meticulous in preparation and finishing, thoroughly explain the process and the cinematography all make this a joy to view. You really need to have your own DIY show on television!
Subbing purely bc I too am Canadian and Ontario winters suck. Didn’t know the thing about the round blade not making a straight edge, that’s an awesome tip! Thanks bud!
So glad you’re back!! Hope all is well. Another beautiful piece and, as always, such an enjoyable experience watching your process. Can’t wait for the next one!
My god this is a gorgeous piece!! I just bought all new living room furniture in this style and blew a fortune, if only I had any mechanical skill whatsoever🙃
Well done! As always. Not only the craftsmanship is fantastic but the editing and the way you filmed everything is a pleasure to watch. Already looking forward to your next vid.
Wow 🤩! Gorgeous piece I’m really impressed. Can you do a tutorial for the furniture legs with kreg screws . It’s a amazing base .!!! 🤩 excellent ideas . Can’t wait for a tutorial
Wonderful, as always! I mainly watch out of respect for your craftsmanship, but I have to admit that your vids are so nice as a buffer before going to sleep. Be blessed! ❤️
I am so impressed by your renovation of older pieces of furniture. I also redo antique furniture & have learned different methods from you. Thank you for an interesting channel.
At first I thought it was an addition that would take away from the overall simplicity, but I agree with you.. I actually think it looks better with them 😄
The drawers that were inside this cabinet can be seen here -> instagram.com/p/CaARgeqrOkT/ :D
You turned them into an elegant deluxe piece of furniture!
The cranes made the doors better. I guess you can oil the things to avoid the tension problems
you destroyed it. its ugly now.
You're so nice..."let's make some handles". Trust me you don't want me helping!🤣🤣🤣
@@rafewheadon1963what the hell are you talking about mate
The mix of humor, cinematography, and beautiful craftsmanship keeps me coming back to this channel. Great stuff as always!

Thank you Denise! Or should I say fellow Ontarian 😄
I never rewatch furniture videos besides these!
Oh wow, you really brought it back to life!
You are amazing! It wasn't bad to begin with. I like the legs and caning and pulls white washed. All the proportions are perfect to me.
Wow, this is terrific. The legs are perfect.
I love watching you work, go work out come home, make coffee, sip and watch your videos...... learn something every time. winks winks

Mystery particles are the worst. Love your work!
So mysterious...
Such beautiful and precise work. That is the best caning I've seen. No waving, bubbles, just flat, even caning. First time I've liked it on a channel!
I'm flattered 😊
Yay an Andy vid! 😭 I don't know how your vids can be both so soothing and exciting to watch at the same time.

And yay Hayley comment! Thanks for the great comment as always :)
Beautiful! I really appreciate you adding the wood trim on the inside to cover the raw edge of the cane. It looks as good inside as it does outside.
I'm speechless. I don't think I have ever seen a furniture adaptation using cane done more flawlessly.
I like wood and how people can use it. Perfect 🔥👍
I would never have guessed the original piece was connected to the fimished work. Beautiful job!
That’s what I strive for.. thank you!! ❤️
Speechless!!!!! One of the most beautiful cane makeover and a master piece I ever seen! 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏

Another gorgeous (re)creation, Andy. Great tip for lining up dowels, too! 🤯
Thank you thank you! 🙏
You transformed that piece. I definitely like the cane, it lightens the front and feels fresh. Love your filming and text.
Impressive as always. ❤
The old hardware was unusual. I hope you find a project to use it on in the future. With your genius, I'm sure you will.
This is one of my favorites!!!! How creative to think of putting the cane inserts. Well done👏👏
