Simply put, the third film Tokyo Drift takes place between 6 & 7... if you're only talking full movies that's it. If you bring in the short film/preludes/credits scenes that add a bit more info but aren't all that big a deal and are scattered throughout the series then it does get a bit more confusing. The naming/numbering really doesn't help at all... when they finish the franchise they need to release a box set with everything in chronological order.

If you bring in the short film/preludes/credits scenes that add a bit more info but aren't all that big a deal and are scattered throughout the series then it does get a bit more confusing. The naming/numbering really doesn't help at all... when they finish the franchise they need to release a box set with everything in chronological order.

That's because there's more than simply racing. It's about the relationships and bonds between the characters in spite of their dirty laundry (crime life) while at the same time having a huge appreciation for cars.
