So cute 🥰 I agree he is English and I think he resembles the mouse eared deans rag book bears from the early 50’s. The nose stitching could have been redone, I know on some of my bears it has not been the most reliable clue. I think he is very sweet and a good find! Thanks for sharing ☺️
Awww, He's quite the English Charmer ! MerryThought is a good guess, that would be my guess too. Sometimes it's just so hard to tell with these old fellows. I'm going to be doing an unboxing myself in a couple of days. I won a sweet little Hermann bear.....The" key to my heart bear" limited edition teddy. He's got such a darling face ! I'm like you, not much spare cash to spend on fun items. I will share this on my face book.....one of my friends is Daniel Agnew and perhaps he will see the post and be able to answer your question of the bear's maker. Thank you for sharing, I do enjoy seeing all your bears & dolls. Have a wonderful weekend !!
Oh I'm sorry , I didn't mean to mislead you into thinking I was making a video. I've thought about it, but just haven't made up my mind to do teddy bear videos. I'll let you know if anyone replies to my post of your video. I sure hope they do. Perhaps we can exchange emails and I could share some of my bears with you through pictures. Do take care and enjoy your lovely teddy.
@@maggiebuchanan9369 I would love it if you did videos showing your bear collection. If you are shy like me, you don't have to show your face on camera. That's why you almost never see me and only the bears, lol. Why don't you go on www.pinterest.com and make a photo album showing you bears? I have a pinterest page showing my collections: www.pinterest.com/dee7192/ Also, if you would like my email, just contact me through my Etsy shop and I will give it to you: www.etsy.com/shop/FuturesPastBoutique
Beautiful 😍 I have some English antique bears that I have purchased in Covent Garden they make the best Teddy Bears because they have so much personality and such history to them and neither one of them are the same. You should really put a little sweater on him or her
I wish I lived in England so we could go teddy bear hunting together. Nobody I know in the states likes old teddy bears. My husband always teases me that if I die he is going to get a big dumpster and throw them all out 😠
@@FuturesPast1 I live in Florida I've seen one of your teddy bears on Etsy and I love teddy bears just like you I'm originally from New Jersey so you and I would have definitely a blast shopping for teddy bears if we went to England together go to Covent Gardens we would find some antique teddy bears I found some antique teddy bears in Covent Garden Apple Market that's one of the things I enjoy doing what I do go to England is shopping for teddy bears you and I will have so much in common
Maybe the person that you bought that from on eBay would have some history on that bear it looks like an English merrythought bear but it could be just an independent bear not really a brand but I know it's definitely an antique English bear
Hey London Girl. I really though he was English for sure. I just started collecting English bears recently. I don't have too many yet but I love vintage Chiltern HugMe Bears and Farnell bears.
Thanks! I LOVE old teddy bears. Actually, I love animals, so it is not hard for an animal lover to want to add teddy bears to their collection ; ) If I keep this up I will be on an episode of that show Hoarders, lol.

@@sarahblack1632 Speaking of linens, I just won a 1930's stuffed dog linen and pajama case. It's so cool. It is a stuffed English mohair dog that has a zipper compartment that you put your linens in. When I get it, I'll post a video showing it. I bet you would like it too.

Thanks Julie. Sadly I sold him on Etsy over a year ago. I miss him already.
