MYTHIC LEGIONS KITBASH Modifying One:12 Heads for Mythic Legions Action Figures - Tutorial

- It's possible to take a Mezco One:12 Collective head and modify it to fit on a Mythic Legions action figure. In this video tutorial I remove the insert/adapter from a Rumble Society Atticus Doom head and fit it to a Sir Girard Mythic Legions action figure. This swap should also work with Cosmic Legions figures when they come out.

For those of you concerned with the fact that I didn't use heat, the reason is because I removed a large batch of inserts from the bags of skulls and it made it more difficult. The strategy is to sort of "break" the glue, not pull it away. I ruined a few heads with heat. But yes, generally speaking in most cases "heat is your friend."
But hot water could be good isn't?
In order to remove "without damage"
@@whoannetoe.4234 the problem with heat in this situation is that it softens the already soft rubber gasket and rather than popping the glue off it stretches it.

What about those dentist hooks(with a little curve) (sanding the sharpen edge) probably could help you out to take it off easier.

I think the opportunity to grab an extra head will be open for quite some time.
Should have went back to watch this again before attempting to remove the gasket on my Conan. Heated it up and it just kept stretching and breaking apart. Took forever to get it out 🤦♂️

Dude ive just subbed to your channel, this video was eye opening. I immediately went home after work to try this technique with my Mezco Bishop and i swapped it on my Cosmic Legions T.U.5.5 Sentry (i think i messed that name up but its the all grey body figure) and MAN it looks badass . Dude thank you 🙏 i do stop motion with my Mythic Legions figures and this gave me a brand new character to use for the low low cost of Free 😂 im very grateful for this thoughtful video. Well done 👍

While I was watching the first few minutes of the video I had to squint one eye anticipating that there was going to be blood when you tore the head portion apart and poked through your finger into your hand severing a major artery and permanently damaging the look of the mythic legions action figure dolly 😝

Just a small note
I found that the piece i removed was a bit softer and i did minimal damage to it. It still works fine, no big deal just thought id mention it. It was the Mezco Bishop figure, idk if certain Mezco figures have different types of hole peg pieces? Hope this helps someone

Would the same method work for Storm Collectibles heads?
I don’t think so. I still need to mess around with the Storm heads though so I don’t have much insight on it.
Do you know if AEW or WWE Elite heads can fit on Mythic Legions pegs?
I'm not sure, but the Masterverse peg holes are too small for Legions neck pegs, so my guess is no.

Boiling Water or a Heat gun are your friends.
Not with these. I did a huge batch of the skulls and heating it up ruined them.
It's better to "break" the glue in this situation.
All the real modders are cringing at him not using a heat gun or blow dryer to soften the glue and pop it out in 30 seconds. Yikes.
I’ve popped dozens of these and whenever I heated them up everything became gummy and stretchy and it’s more work than just breaking the glue cold. (As I said in the pinned comment.)
