I agree. It’s more of a cooler weather fragrance. It is a good choice is the summer if you are sick of typical citrus aquatic and are looking for something with some depth.
Great review Dallas. This is pretty similar to my ambre nuit and much more expensive. For my the best marine niche scents are Acqua di Sale, Megamare and Bleu turquoise from armani prive. You should try those my friend. Regards.
I just bought me a bottle of 40 knots!.....I agree, this bottle is best in the Fall, at least for me....but it is a truly versatile fragrance that can be worn year round in my opinion, maybe in the summer, I would wear it at night

Got a question. I can't decide between a couple fragrances. Would you go with xerjoff naxos, initio side effect, or nishane ani ?? And why would u choose what u chose. I've only smelled naxos and I like it.
I am so close to pulling the trigger in this one. I really smelled it once and it was long ago when my nose pallette wasn't what it is now. I remember it being good. This would be THE most expensive one I bought ever. So I'm trying to watch the reviewers I hold to the highest regards.
Don't do that I bought it sample it's my favorite in comparison to naxos and Don goes to a great as well 40 knots is my favorite that I'm currently testing go to scent decant get you a sample

I have tried endless marine/blue scents looking for the top of the top and I always go back to Polo blue EDP and Polo Deep blue. Aqua di gio is right there too.

40 Knots is almost like a niche version of ADG Profumo to me.

If I thought those were the best then I would never bother spending a red cent on any niche fragrances. That’s not the case though for me.

What no reviewer has mentioned, is that this stuff is a powder bomb. Makes it unwearable for me. The decant I got was slightly powdery, and I really liked it in spite of that. But, the Fb=powderbomb for some reason🤨😢

I tried megamare today, that's a complete different kind of see, so relaxing in 40 knots, so freaky angry in megamare, how can you compare?

This is not marine scent. This is standard oriental scent based on good raw material. Woody, sometimes «tobacco». Salty for 15 min at start.

It is supposed to represent being at a yacht club.
The touch of Armack brandy, & the killer amber for sophistication.
(There's some kind of spice in there as well)
