I honestly don't see anything wrong with Battlefield 1 because of two reasons: 1: The game is set in World War 1. 2: The first Battlefield games were set in World War 2 so Battlefield 1 acts as a prequel to the entire series meaning that the '1' indicates that chronologically it's the first game in the series.

2: The first Battlefield games were set in World War 2 so Battlefield 1 acts as a prequel to the entire series meaning that the '1' indicates that chronologically it's the first game in the series.
