- The main feature of this video is the Nosh & Slosh railtour from Birmingham International to Swindon & the return.
We first see the Western making its way from Kidderminster to Birmingham International where the Diesel puts on a mighty show of power and sound. Thanks to the driver for this treat.
We then head off to Stourbridge Junction where we first see the unique Class 139 which operates the Stourbridge Shuttle. This is the shortest railway journey on the British mainline as it is only 0.8 miles in length.
Next up is the Western now hauling the railtour and again the driver puts on a great show for the cameras. A GBRF Class 57 is at the rear.
In between the outward and return journeys we spend some time on the Severn Valley Railway where we see a Class 50 and a Pannier Tank hauling trains.
The final scenes show the returning railtour on the approach to Abbotswood Junction.

Thank you.
The Western captures were outstanding John, and interesting to see the Railcar at Stourbridge Jnc working. Excellent coverage from the both of you....Bob
Bob, I always make every effort to video the Western railtours. I fail to understand the logic of the Stourbridge shuttle, being less than a mile in length but it is a unique vehicle. Regards, John.
Fantastic video thank you for sharing

Nige, Thanks for watching and for your comment. Regards, John
Some great footage there John and you certainly made a full day of it with all that traction.
Surprised you chose Abbotts Wood over the Lickey but it was worth it, loved the drone shot!! Regards, Brian.
Thanks Brian. The plan using Abbotswood was based on the original times where we reckoned a further location at Longbridge would have been possible. Regards, John
Very nice, like.
Thanks for watching and for your comment. Regards, John
Thumbnail looks like the Romney Hythe & Dymchurch Railway! Drones aren't always the answer.
The drone is of benefit in overcoming lineside vegetation and provides another perspective of the scene. In this particular video the sunny side view was obscured. Thanks for watching and for your comment. Regards, John
Great Video as always John. I wish I went to Rowley for the Light Engine instead of old Hill cuz I got Bowled there.
Regards, James
James, We originally planned to go to Old Hill but the risk of being bowled was considered higher than Rowley Regis. Regards, John
Great video :)
