Christ is made the sure foundation - arr. for piano by Peter Duckworth

This great hymn was sung at the Coronation of King Charles III on 6 May 2023. It is clearly a royal favourite, since it has been sung on many state occasions in the past 50 years, including Queen Elizabeth `Platinum Jubilee service at St Paul's Cathedral on 3 June 2022, and her funeral service in Westminster Abbey on 19 September 2022. The words are about 1500 years old, having been translated from the original Latin by J.M. Neale in 1851. The glorious tune, Westminster Abbey, is by Henry Purcell (1659-95).
