I have a 69 3cyl gas ford 4000 that has a holly carb, mine can give a little sputter if the revs get too low, very minimal after adjusting the carb. A lot of old gas tractors and cars from way back when, sputter a bit, but they work just fine.
@@chrispeters4405 I paid $1,800 and it had a 7 foot blade on the back. It has a little trouble with the shifter ball popping out of the socket in 4th if you're not gentle but I typically use 2nd and reverse with high and low anyway. I just replaced the rear end hydraulics gaskets and O-rings ($14 gasket kit) and now it will hold a 600 pound box blade up for days, literally. It wasn't terrible before but I wanted to help it out. It runs great and doesn't ever get hot. I have build multiple trails, pulled trees, moved several cords of firewood with a carryall on the back, built a bridge, pulled tons of dirt, and moved snow and ice this past winter. All in all this cheap old 1967 Ford 2000 gasser has been one my best investments. I just lucked out. My only complaint is it doesn't have a locking differential but I am looking for a rear end.
What Ford color did you repainted it in? Nice color! The old paint «Empire» looks like blue/green and many that has bern repainted with the new Ford paint look sometimes like blu/purple, so i am confused. Is it Empire blue or Ford/New Holland blue that was standard from 66 i thing. I have an 67 mod 2000, but is cofused for the paint color i should use on mine.
Hey,I’ve got a 72 2000,did you ever find out which is which?I like this blue a lot better than the darker blue with a purplish hue.I bought some Majic oil based ford blue,it’s dark blue close to the color of the 72 but this color is sweet.
It's not my tractor and I did not do the engine work. Also, I never heard another tractor run. I only did the body and paint work. Besides, it was sold shortly after these shots to an experienced farmer who thought it was fine. That's all I know.
It doesn't sound like it's running right, i've never heard a Ford 3 cylinder sound that way.
Is it just the exhaust?
@@anthonyantinarella3360 It is a 4 cylinder gas, the 3 cylinders were diesel
3cyl gas
@@thomasstewart9398 thanks never heard about a the 3 cylinder gas

1967 ???? looks like 1968 or later (Force) grill but Nice - looks like new
engine sound weird. It's not like the typical Ford sound.
Very nice. I just bought one this evening. Doesn't look nearly as shiny as yours but runs well.
how much you pay for that?

Nice tractor. I have always liked the Ford 2000 and 3000 tractors.

@@pedrohippocaus8488 I've got the PPG paint code if you still need it.
Noob here. What's a quick way to tell if mine is a 3/4 cyl gas/diesel?
Look if theres sparkplugs, if there is its a gas engine, if not its a compression / diesel engine
What weight motor oil for the 3 cylinder Ford gas engines? Beautiful job BTW!
Ford best in the world
That’s gorgeous! Mine sure don’t look like that but with a little work and money it definitely could!
Looking at a 67 now. Not a nice as this one.
Very nice!
What fluid do you put into the rear end
what size tires are you using on rear?
3 cyl diesel
It’s missing on a cylinder !
