PEACE PAGODA:- A Peace Pagoda is a Buddhist stupa built to inspire peace and promote non-violence. The idea was initiated by Nichidatsu Fujii, a Japanese Buddhist monk and founder of the Nipponzan-Myōhōji order, who was deeply influenced by Mahatma Gandhi. They are symbols of the desire for a peaceful world and often feature inscriptions or plaques with messages of peace.
HIMALAYAN ZOO:- The Himalayan Zoological Park, also known as the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, is located in Darjeeling, West Bengal, India. It was established in 1958 and named after Padmaja Naidu, the former governor of West Bengal and the daughter of Sarojini Naidu. This zoo is renowned for its efforts in conservation and breeding programs for endangered species native to the Himalayas, such as the red panda, snow leopard, Tibetan wolf, and Himalayan salamander.
The zoo covers an area of about 67.56 acres and is situated at an altitude of approximately 7,000 feet, providing a natural and suitable habitat for high-altitude animals. It also focuses on education and research related to Himalayan fauna and flora.
BATASIA LOOP:- Batasia Loop is a scenic railway loop located in Darjeeling, West Bengal, India. It is part of the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The loop was constructed to enable the toy train to navigate the steep gradient of the region.
Situated around 5 kilometers from Darjeeling town, Batasia Loop offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding hills, valleys, and the majestic Kanchenjunga mountain range. At the center of the loop is a well-maintained garden and a war memorial dedicated to Gorkha soldiers who sacrificed their lives in various wars post-independence. GHUM MONASTERY:- Ghum Monastery, also known as Yiga Choeling Monastery, is one of the oldest Tibetan Buddhist monasteries in Darjeeling, West Bengal, India. It was established in 1850 by the Mongolian astrologer and monk Sokpo Sherab Gyatso. Situated at an elevation of about 8,000 feet, the monastery is located near Ghum, a small hilly locality close to Darjeeling town.
The monastery is famous for its 15-foot-high statue of Maitreya Buddha, also known as the "Future Buddha," which is a major attraction for visitors. The walls of the monastery are adorned with traditional Tibetan thangkas (scroll paintings), and it houses many rare Buddhist manuscripts.

GHOOM RAILWAY STATION:- Ghoom Railway Station is a prominent station on the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (DHR) and is renowned for being one of the highest railway stations in India, situated at an elevation of about 7,407 feet (2,226 meters) above sea level. Located in the small town of Ghoom, near Darjeeling in West Bengal, the station is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site recognized for its engineering marvels and historical significance.
Ghoom Railway Station is famous for its scenic surroundings and the iconic toy train rides that traverse the mountainous terrain. The station itself has a quaint and nostalgic charm, reflecting the colonial era when the railway was constructed in the late 19th century. The DHR's narrow-gauge tracks and steam locomotives make the journey to and from Ghoom a unique experience, attracting tourists from all over the world.
