I have a 69 Silver Eagle. I don't have a problem getting to the speed limit, it's keeping at the speed limit. These eagles will fly!!

I drove bus tours in the 80s and 90s, have driven GM, MCI, Prevost...I think Eagles were my favorite. They rode and drove nice, I liked the exterior panels. Biggest drawback was they didn't stand road salt well...it would rot out the steel framework and pit the aluminum skin. It's been 25 yrs since I drove one...would love to wheel one down the road for a bit.Enjoy...hopefully fuel prices come down.

We took our 1968 Silver Eagle 01 on a trip around the USA. All total around 9,000 miles. Have fun!

That would be awesome. We would love to do that. Maybe one day.

I love travelling in our bus except for two things, cost of fuel and finding a place to pull over a 45 foot bus when you really have to go ). Herder to find a nicer way to travel.

I badly need a better mic. And camera I think. The phone just does not work very well for audio.

This is a DD 8V92TA, with upgraded injectors.

@@savingmiller Upgraded injectors could take you all the way to 600 hp with no problem depending on which injectors were installed, but it would probably kill your fuel mileage. At 450 hp, the best fuel mileage we've been able to achieve without pulling a trailer is about 7.5 mpg. Noted that you purchased your bus in Lake Havasu. My wife and I spend a lot of time in Lake Havasu during the winters. It's really a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there. We enjoy standing on London Bridge watching the ducks dive for food.

I think mileage was below 5 :(. We haven't spent much time in Lake Havasu, but the river looks pretty attractive there with all the RV resorts. We might try to stay there once the kids are older.
