Depends. It's not an incredibly useful trick, but there are some niche cases. The main reason would be to make a low level twink that isn't level 20. It wouldn't be efficient for level boosting, but some people want to do that for fun. As you mentioned, other people want an easier time farming threads. A friend of mine locked his character to 59 and reached 9000% experience before unlocking and hitting level 70. There's no advantage to that, he just did it for fun. Alternatively, for the purposes of the speedrun I just completed, we had a player lock multiple characters to level 10 and then farm guild reputation. This allowed them to purchase banners for use in dungeons while still being low enough level to avoid Stormstout Brewery.
Conceivably I would want to do this on a Level 10 for even better twinking on a Trial account (my main account is the characters I want to level!), but there's no way to do that since you cannot give the trial acc the requisite 10 Gold. And it wouldn't be possible to get that much gold without leveling beyond, except maybe farming coin drops in Scarlet Halls without killing the Treasurers.
It's very easy to farm gold on a level 10. That being said, I wouldn't really recommend a level 10 for twinking. Level 20 Starter Account characters will still be more effective.

Was very entertaining video to watch. i just dont think All this to get cheap bronze upgrades? I can farm 100k bronze per day just doing the dungeon finder and 3 daylie quests on alts.
So the Froggers won LOL Thanks for sharing. The past 2 years have been extremely interesting "Exploit early, exploit often" is actually the most efficient way to play WoW. Good thing I don't follow that path
No, the way is play late and get increased loot. Crybabies won as always. If you played in the first month you wasted a lot of time since the doubled, trippled things and even increased rep by 9 times. Was a punch in my face when shaohao was made irrelevant. People who expected Blizzard to not handle things properly just stacked up their bank with threads and bronze tokens. Thats quite busted since those level of threads are unreachable unless you gambled for blizzard catch up mechanics since the start. Best way to play the game is to not play it at all, pretty sad.
@@Arathreas Hahaha matey. Exactly this. It's super sad and I adapted to it a decade ago? Can't remember. And yes, for players that don't exploit this is the solution Since I didn't burn out the 1st month but took it slowly (levelled several 70's my way) in Remix in the beginning I can now go superhard knowing the strategies that feel feasible + fun + suits my playstyle. The last part is always the most important. Playstyle is everything. If it doesn't fit I minimise my time doing it and wait until others figure out the strategies while I level alts (learn new specs etc), pvp or make gold in the meantime. GL & HF

Glad this vid came across my feed. This is something was wondering if there was a way to get out. Since would have loved to see about how much I could nuke some Shadowlands stuff or Dragonflight stuff with tinkers what all could that gear do. I understand though that blizzard wouldn't want people do that stuff though sadly. It is the end of the expansion should just let us nuke everything. End the expansion with a bang. When you were talking about people doing the world quests I was thinking how are people doing the entire WQ in 6 seconds. I thought maybe they were just running back over and over or there was some area that then turned off the teleport stuff, but nah 3rd party stuff meh lol oh well.
Like could you imagine someone with all these tinkers and also with some of the trinkets from Dragonflight raids or instances that are higher level than these stat sticks of low ilvl
No. Nobody has figured a way to "smuggle" Pandaria gems onto retail characters. That wouldnt work. Different items, different systems, different everything.
That's just incorrect. The characters are hosted on the same servers, all of these items exist within the same version of WoW. During PTR testing it was possible to move items between characters, which is why mailing between ANY characters is disabled for Remix, they couldn't figure out how to make mail only work from Remix -> Remix characters. If you found a way to enter a phase with other characters in normal WoW, trading would 100% be possible. I've had it confirmed from a number of reliable sources by now that this DID happen, the only thing I'm unsure of now is whether or not it still works or if it was detected and patched by Blizzard.
@@Lonarra1 A number of sources... that also could not do any such transaction. I have been a game designer for 8 years and they would simply have axed those areas off the MOP Remix client to make damn sure no "haxx", tricks, or glitching could be applied. Which is why it has a separate login. Just like the Plunderstorm. You cant randomly, accidentally, or use glitches or tricks to facilitate a meeting. In the world of plunderstorm, there is no Stormwind, or Orgrimmar. No AH or crafting orders. Having these separate entities co-exist on shards or phasing would be an extreme liability. I obviously have not looked into this, but it would be insane.
@@captain_context9991 There isn't a separate login though, I have no idea how you're confused about this. You do realize that Remix characters are literally on the same servers, right? You can even join normal retail guilds. There are also multiple game changes for MoP Remix that get applied to regular WoW (Galakras requiring 2 cannons etc). You also say they could just "axe those areas off", and yet you're commenting on a video where I literally demonstrate that their attempts to block old areas have failed. I show in simple steps how to bypass their half-assed blockade. To top it off, I know for a fact that there are some pretty egregious exploits that allow you to break out of MoP Remix even further. I mentioned it in the video, but I obviously don't want to go into detail because it's stuff that will get anyone banned if they attempt it. I'd rather not give my viewers a step by step instruction on how to get banned, but you can find it within a few google searches if you're dedicated enough. If you really don't want to believe me, alright I guess, but if you really have been a game designer for 8 years then you should know that players will always find ways to break a game that the developers could never have accounted for. This stuff happens all the time.
Dude really said "fastest speed run ever" while using an infinitely scaling cloak. There's nothing impressive or noteworthy about having access to power scaling so insane that it'd made DBZ characters blush.
@@Lonarra1 It's not literal, Peaches. Keep up. But I'd like to draw your attention to the left side of the video, roughly center where you'll see "266% Experience Gain." The exact same thing will happen from your end lmao.
It is very much in the gray area. As I said in the video, Blizzard has banned for far less, but they've also allowed many blatant exploits to go unpunished. The reality is that Blizzard isn't entirely consistent with their rulings. Personally, I think that just the act of breaking out of Pandaria, and even grabbing a few items like Guild Banners is pretty tame. All of this is doable with regular game mechanics. Getting stuff in Dragonflight and other continents, while possible, requires some REALLY sketchy strategies. There's a reason I didn't explain how to do that in the video, I don't want to show you strats that I believe will get you banned.
@@brettrigby2226 You have no way of knowing. Personally I suspect it would depend a lot on the severity of what was done with the remix characters and how visible it was to anyone else. For an extreme example, if a bunch of players found a way to say repeatedly obliterate all non-remix characters in PVP, I'd expect account level bans and little mercy because People Would Not Be Amused.
@@brettrigby2226if you watch the video you can see why it's really a gray area... Blizzard has blocks in place, but they have windows of opportunity. Also, the amount of setup to get this done, the amount of additional help required, etc. makes this something no one would do on the regular. Any player would be better off just getting run through dungeons with one twink for much less time and effort. If anything, this run is "FOR SCIENCE!"
@@brettrigby2226 I'm not planning on doing this at all, my point was I didn't want anyone falsely reassured the only risk they were taking was that a single timerunner character might be sanctioned (vs their account.)
People have been caught exploring out of bounds in the past and been immediately given vacations, so there is a precedent. It's a very real risk, low but not zero. Cosmetics and guild items are probably tame, but probably the highest risk is if you touch anything that looks like player power. That's putting your head on the chopping block. And Blizzard is very arbitrary when it comes to punishments. If people are messing with player power then there is a chance they come after everyone who broke out instead of just the offenders. It depends on how deep they want to dive.
If you have proof, feel free to send it to me on Discord. Otherwise I'll just assume it's user error (no offense, but it usually is with comments like this).

You can def get 10g on a lvl 10 trial account without killing anything. there are lots of treasures around in Jade Forest you can loot at lvl 10
It's very easy to farm gold on a level 10. That being said, I wouldn't really recommend a level 10 for twinking. Level 20 Starter Account characters will still be more effective.

All this to get cheap bronze upgrades? I can farm 100k bronze per day just doing the dungeon finder and 3 daylie quests on alts.
So the Froggers won LOL
Thanks for sharing. The past 2 years have been extremely interesting
"Exploit early, exploit often" is actually the most efficient way to play WoW.
And yes, for players that don't exploit this is the solution
Since I didn't burn out the 1st month but took it slowly (levelled several 70's my way) in Remix in the beginning I can now go superhard knowing the strategies that feel feasible + fun + suits my playstyle. The last part is always the most important. Playstyle is everything. If it doesn't fit I minimise my time doing it and wait until others figure out the strategies while I level alts (learn new specs etc), pvp or make gold in the meantime. GL & HF

I mean you could also trade a full gear set of 470+ greens to a pandaria char if it is this broken
U need gold for heirlooms.
Please please *PLEASE* don't get banned
They aren't banning people who did the stuff I showed in the video, it's all very tame. They've already fixed a lot of it, so if they were planning on sending out bans it would have occurred days ago.
What is the point of doing this though? I may be missing something haha
And does the 15% experience boost work for dungeons if I left a character in the beginning or would it be considered out of range of the effect
No, banners have a limited range and they only apply to Mob Kill XP.
Waste if time, until u do all that im already lvl 45....
This isn't meant to be a leveling trick.

Fun?
I got mine out of pandaria and into fortnite
@@Lonarra1
A number of sources... that also could not do any such transaction.
This stuff happens all the time.
patched already.

Dude really said "fastest speed run ever" while using an infinitely scaling cloak. There's nothing impressive or noteworthy about having access to power scaling so insane that it'd made DBZ characters blush.
You clearly haven't actually played MoP Remix, the cloak hasn't infinitely scaled on fresh alts since the start of the event.
@@Lonarra1 It's not literal, Peaches. Keep up. But I'd like to draw your attention to the left side of the video, roughly center where you'll see "266% Experience Gain." Leveling fast in a mode designed to be fast isn't impressive. And throwing around "word" anything is egregious. The amount of ego and defensiveness on display in the comments, by you, is the single most entertaining aspect of your channel :)
@@coleharris1945 Glad you find it entertaining! Could you continue to mald for a few more comments to boost my channel's engagement? That would be much appreciated.
@@Lonarra1 You've a fundamental misunderstanding of what the word means. And why does everyone assume "you're boosting my channel" is some sort of ultra good clapback? Okay, so? Not being a fan of something doesn't mean I wish to see someone fail. It's not that deep. Why you assume there's ill will or emotional investment is wild. You're a nobody (to me, specifically) and before the day is done I will have forgotten your existence entirely. Before you get your panties in a bunch, that's not an insult. The exact same thing will happen from your end lmao.

I hate retail wow so much it's insane actually
Why are you watching retail WoW videos then?
WoW is gay
Does this not count as an exploit? I'd love to escape panda prison. But scared to be banned ;D
