So refreshing to see a "youtuber" who does something esle outside of youtube but still does not complain about having to upload a video! Also your vlogs are a lot more interesting because you do something outside of just chilling and vlogging or going out!
I love this! I have recently graduated too and started a new job and it’s so great to hear your experiences with onboarding and settling in, technology issues and the like. Keep it up!
I hope you'll be continuing with these job vlogs because I love them. It's so cool to see what people do in their jobs and how their working day to day is.
oh god my eyes are so watery you have no idea. All I see is the little teenage girl who would get up and open her curtains in her dorm room as she would get ready for her morning supervisions at Cambridge :(
TECHNOLOGY SUBMERGES PAIGE 😂... but she is amazing as usual! What a remarkable lady! I have been watching Paige’s vlogs for over one year and I’m hooked on them! Congrats you are amazing! You deserve the best!
I also work from home and I'm also training. I have so much equipment and computers at home its truly a mess at my desk. Definitely can't complain, especially considering that as a recent grad I went practically straight from school to working from home. Totally relate.
Good luck Paige. You will do well, you work hard. Cut yourself some slack, everything is a challenge when you first start but it will soon become more familiar to you. Btw internet breaking down and power outages happen all the time now everyone is wfh, people understand but good you were able to work elsewhere and not miss anything. Glad you got the monitor, you must be staring at spreadsheets all day (so do I) so it makes a massive difference to the quality of work you can do and your well-being!
Your videos are so interesting!!! I'm also starting my actuarial career in Mexico ! I'm completely lost at the moment but hopefully I'll find a new job soon
It is worth it to get a battery backup for your router. It does not last long, about 20 minutes depending on how much you want to spend, but it is good for when the power disappears momentarily like during a thunderstorm. With that time you can keep going with the hope that power will be restored but it also allows you to inform people when working at home that you may disappear or to close a meeting early. I also have a network external drive on it so that it can be shut down gracefully preventing data corruption.
Hello Paige, I hope you are well. I love your videos! It seems like your new job is doing great, and we are all adapting the best we can to new & unusual working conditions (including teleworking and the wifi/power cuts that are sometimes associated with it). Maybe you already know that, but about the "tha" email - funny anecdote, not a big deal at all :-) - you can recall emails in Outlook if you double click on the email on the "sent items" folder, then you can click on "Actions" (ribbon at the top), and then on "Recall this message". It would need to be done quickly after sending the email though since it can only delete unread copies of the email. And you would get a notification on whether the recall was successful or not afterwards. Also, you can create a rule in Outlook that allows emails to be sent a specific amount of time after you have clicked on "send". I don't personally use it but I knew someone who had created a rule that was sending emails 1 minute after clicking on "send", allowing him to delete the email before it was even sent if he realized he had omitted something (attachment for instance). Take care!
What a sweet little dog! I love the way it wanted it's belly rubbed. Also, I'd like to know what kind of exercise you're doing now that you're not doing all that biking and walking you used to do at Cambridge. And, if you buy some new "work" clothes it would be fun to see a clothes haul. Your vlogs are so interesting. Keep up the good work!
No worries, this happens in Sudan all the time! I have recently started my PhD and it is online and I could not travel to attend university so I stayed in my home country Sudan. Unfortunately one day I was at a zoom meeting and all of a sudden the electricity was cut out 😭💔 so I just turned off the video and continued as nothing had just happened hahaha😂 and the other day I was attending an important lecture, then the internet service was also shut down and I lost connection 💔😂 difficult roads always lead to beautiful destinations 🇸🇩🙏🏻
Paige.. what brand are those headset? They look soo cool compared to mine. I’m kinda in the same boat as you, 3 week as a new contract tracer :) Anno the feeling of boring teams meetings lol
Also, love it when your dog is in the vlog! Haha that rhymes 😄 My dog is currently sleeping, but she often annoys me when I study. She doesn’t like me studying 😂
I really like your veidios and this one was very nice, you are really so realistic You are a very good TH-camr and wish you good luck Please comment Paige I am one of your biggest fan (Nice dog)
Always give belly rubs to the furry pet co-workers- don't forget to hydrate and take small breaks. Do want you can and work as a team, not for the team (I'm guilty of this).
Paige, what a positive human being you are, i just cannot🥺♥️ can i ask you 2 things? You decided that physics aren’t the “main job of your life”? Bcs astrology isn’t connected that much to actuary as I know :D are you gonna go back to physics in future? And second, were are these watches from?😍 have an amazing career, you deserve THE BEST💖
Supet late to today's video!😭...It might be a very inappropriate question for a video like this, but can you please tell me( if you are comfortable with it) what lipstick you use? It's just so pretty and looks great for everyday use
I don’t actually think I wore lipstick in this video, I usually opt for lip balm day-to-day (Vaseline aloe or tinted carmex). But when I do wear lipstick I like Charlotte tilbury pillow talk and Mac velvet teddy (both are a nude colour)!
Hi Paige, this is just a bit of advice but when you're on meetings you might want to smile a bit because you look quite tense all the time and it's good to show off a positive vibe
Aha this was a v v long meeting with about 100 people in (more like attending a virtual lecture) so my video was off and my mic on mute! Obviously engage more when it’s a proper meeting 😝
So refreshing to see a "youtuber" who does something esle outside of youtube but still does not complain about having to upload a video! Also your vlogs are a lot more interesting because you do something outside of just chilling and vlogging or going out!
I feel like you are a really optimistic and positive person, and I admire that a lot! :)
Love this series! Who knew I would enjoy watching videos on an actuarial job hahah!!! Love your videos Paige! :))
Paige, I am very glad that you are very optimistic and positive about your new job. You look really excited about it.
I love this! I have recently graduated too and started a new job and it’s so great to hear your experiences with onboarding and settling in, technology issues and the like. Keep it up!
I absolutely love your videos. They seem like an escape from reality and so motivating. Keep up the work PaigeY ❤️ much love

Tech issues are the worst :( but it's nice to see that despite the not so nice way your working year started, you're so positive!
The way you seid monday at 8:35 shook me!you have got such a soothing voice i think you can be a singer if you work on your voice!
yep... yet another amazing video from Paige. I am surprised she is able to handle both work and youtube simultaneously.
You are the only person on TH-cam who actually motivates me to do better!! Thank you so much for that, Paige! You look so pretty!! 😊

I dont mean this in a creepy internet way but you have really amazing eyes 😂 not trying to be strange but people don't get enough complements.
Lol, most women get at least 'enough' compliments mate. A brief peruse of any of this channel's comments for the last few years will demonstrate that.
@@monsieurboks just trying to be kind
. Most women get creepy comments, not exactly the same as a compliment. This was a kind comment and you attacked them for no reason.
@@monsieurboks nice guy spotted
Can you now make a video discussing your interview questions since you’re not at Cambridge anymore
Hey Paige! good job on your new job. I thought you would pursue something related to astrophysics. You were very excited about that in your vlogs!.
I'm working from home too and the struggle is real, this video makes me feel less alone and way more motivated . Thank you 💞
And it sucks that your power cut out! But we know you'll do great either way!!
The only true study tube channel.
Others are just portraying aesthetics with a bare amount of study.
I just discovered your Chanel, it’s great! I did bio natsci at fitz and graduated a few years before you did. I wished I had kept vlogs !!
I am actually studying for a master's degree in actuarial sciences and I loveee watching your videos paige such an inspiration ❤
Definitely enjoy your weekends while you still can! I am two years into my actuarial exams and I miss weekends :(
Aha will do! Making the most of the study break while I can
I'm learning a lot! Thank you and keep it up!
’I look like a mess.‘ (while being gorgeous)
I was wondering how you were going to keep your subscribers attached after graduation. But yep! You absolutely nailed it. Love your vlogs
I used to feel so much productive when u used to do your study vlogs ...🥺

What high school did you come from?
Thanks!
I would love to know what all of your friends from uni are doing now :O like Tim, Ella and so on. I only know about Astrid bc of her youtube channel
Paige.. what brand are those headset? They look soo cool compared to mine.
I’m kinda in the same boat as you, 3 week as a new contract tracer :) Anno the feeling of boring teams meetings lol
All the best for your work!!! Fighting! :)
Also, love it when your dog is in the vlog! Haha that rhymes 😄 My dog is currently sleeping, but she often annoys me when I study. She doesn’t like me studying 😂

what’s the difference between working as a team and working for the team?
My God, you looked so stressed out with that virtual meeting, Paige! LOL!
She give me some productive energy.

You should get a second laptop to watch movies when your Excel 'training' gets too dull... it'll make your day go quicker.
Aha no time to watch films when there’s work to do!
@@PaigeY Of course! /wink wink/
