  • Here is try out a Tagima guitar to see if you can get a good guitar for under $300.00. I was surprised.
    Tennesse Guitar and Sound - 865-474-9408 is the phone number to the shop I borrowed this guitar from.

    I just purchased the TG 500! Can't wait for it to arrive.

    Amazing looks, playability and it delivers. It definitely rivals guitars above its price range

      Yeah man. for the money I was impressed. Much better than I had anticipated.

    In 1989 I bought a candyapple red Holdsworth Charvel with a hand wound Duncan JB for 100...with a case! Yes, it's not the price, but the quality. Nothing is worth more than what the highest bidder will pay. The shop that I bought this ax from was trying to clear the inventory on their Used wall and I was happy to oblige. The price was right. I played that guitar for years.

      Nice. I bet that was a pretty nice unit and that pickup would have been amazing. The regular JB is nice. You are right. It is only worth what someone will pay for it but I would like to have your guitar now.

    First thought was WOW you got lucky with the fret work, as judging by those photo's the fretwork looked incredible compared to what I've dealt with. But makes perfect sense if you got it manually PLEK'd. I've bought three Tagima 530's - one for myself and two additionals as presents. Love them and, aside from fretwork, have been very impressed with each one. For such a low price they are great.

      Yeah dude I was shocked at how good the guitar was for the price. Finish on this one was spot on.

      Now this one was not plek'd. this guitar had no setup at all. It was straight from the box to my hands.

      Yeah....for the money it is actually a really good guitar, and a great base if you want to do some upgrades.

    Sounds like you've got a winner, Trace! How's the trem on that thing? In my experience, the biggest problem with budget guitars are the trem, tuners and electronics, but nothing that can't be fixed or replaced.

    • @TraceTaylor3
      @TraceTaylor3  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      the trem is what it was. I am a big fan of locking trems. This one would come out of tune if used heavily but I would put a better nut on it with some good lube that will make it stay a bit better.

    You should review some Cort G series guitars. Amaxing guitars. I have a G200DX Java, payed $200 for it on Reverb, Amazing. I also have a Cort G290 Fat, its an amazing guitar, and can be compared to a music man axis, for way less money.

      Yeah I watched a video a little while back how Cort was really stepping up their game. I have been waiting for one of the guitar stores here to pick them up so I can see what they are all about.

    This is pissing me off. Your videos are NOT getting into my feed. I don't use the Bell because I would be inundated with notifications..but don't want to miss content. Maybe for yours.
    Be very interested in a comparo between Ibanez AZES and Sterling Cutlass and maybe an EART.
    Look like you are feeling better. Have your usual coloring back. 👍🏼
    Best Regards and Best Wishes for 2023!

      You know I have had a few people send me messages saying the same thing about the feed. Let me do a little research and see what is going on. Yes that would be a good video. I will see if I can get the guitars. I am getting ready to start shooting a comparison between a 699 Wolfgang standard and a American wolfgang. see if the american is really worth 3000 more. I will check that feed out and let you know.

      @@TraceTaylor3 I was thinking that as well. I will never play a Wolfgang bu I know you like them and since you have experience with them it will make for more interesting content. BR.

    Made in China?

      Actually I think these come out of brazil.

    • @darlielp

      @@TraceTaylor3 Tagima is a Brazilian brand, but only a few lines of guitars are made here using Brazilian wood or noble wood, some of the cheaper ones are from China like TG-Series (TG 500, 510, 530, etc...) , but still a good guitar in comparison with some other Chinese guitars with the same price, since Tagima is known for a good quality control. Just be careful with their techwood fretboard, it's a synthetic wood, they say that it's an ecological alternative to rosewood but it is like a plywood or something like that so it can crack during a fret replacement, but the ones with maple fretboard are very good.

    • @TraceTaylor3
      @TraceTaylor3  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@darlielp Thanks dude. good info. Yeah it is hard to keep track of anything guitar wise anymore. With everyone using CNC machines, they make them everywhere with every type of wood. Luckily for me I am a maple/ebony guy when it comes to fret boards. I actually borrowed this from a friend of mine who owns a music store. He had just got them in and I though what the hell, I will take one and review it and see if it is any good. for the money....not to bad I must say. Thanks brother.

    • @TraceTaylor3
      @TraceTaylor3  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

      It's not that bad dude. Not for 300.00. I bet I can put this up against a regular fender strat USA and you will barely be able to tell the difference.
