So glad to have found your channel! What a super resource for parents, whether they are homeschoolers or not. I'm a grandmother, and I'm also a book publisher who focuses on wholesome middle grade books. It's always interesting to see what books people are interested in, and it's great to find ideas for the grandkids. Thanks!
Just watched Abby's video and decided to check out your video. I love the book suggestions. I will have to watch again so I can write some down. I definitely have to watch more of your videos.
When I was in elementary school we did a Flat Stanley unit and we read the book then we colored our own flat Stanley and then mailed it to different family, friends, etc and you ask that they would mail back flat Stanley with a letter telling of their adventures. My parents took him to Alaska and took pictures of his adventures and my cousin took him to a rodeo. He even made paper rodeo clothes and mailed him back with a letter about the adventures they went on. Just thought that might be a fun project with your kids :-)!
Found you through Bear Hill Family’s channel! Great read alouds! We’re going to be jumping into more of the magic treehouse books this year for my 2nd grader boy! Fellow youtuber here and new sub!
I knew I could count on you for some good early reader mysteries. Our library list just grew again! Thanks for the collab. We always love seeing what your family is up to!
Love these suggestions! I keep seeing The Kingdom of Wrenly books on Book Outlet and have contemplated buying them for my son. I might have to check them out! Thank you for sharing 😊
This is a great video, I would have loved to see this a year ago when I was trying to figure out the chapter book world:) My point is, many will appreciate this for sure! There's a couple of Third Grade Detectives on Book Outlet. Coincidentally, I had a video go up on Tuesday about a chapter book haul, which included a couple for girls that are on the easier reading spectrum.
Ooh, I may have to grab some of those Third Grade Detective books, thanks for the heads up! I'm looking forward to your video, it's been a few years since my daughter was in this stage so I'm excited to see what you have to share.
After 14 years of homeschooling, I’ve learned that my kids do not enjoy books about kids who are in public school, at all! They often tell me the kids are “mean, they lie, they disobey their parents, they gossip and spread rumors”, so I have just stopped bringing home any books in that category. I guess it makes sense, if I’m not sending my kids to public school, why would I want them to read all about it in books. But they have loved The Littles and Boxcar children and of course all of the Little House on the Prairie books. Betsy-Tacy is also great, Sarah Plain and Tall, Mr. Popper's Penguins, Homer Price, Mice of the Herringbone series, I could go on 🤣
My kids love the Princess in Black series. My 7 year old is reading through the Sophie Mouse series now, also The Last Firehawk series, which she is enjoying. Cobble Street Cousins by Cynthia Rylant is another sweet little series for this age. Thanks for the recs, definitely interested in checking out some of these for my daughter!
Books that my daughter enjoyed included the Tales from Maple Ridge series, Zoey and Sassafras, Imagination Station, Mercy Watson, Bear Grylls Adventure and Nancy Drew and the Clue Crew.
I have the Series Boxcar Children’s Series Books on my shelves and Magic Tree House Series Books on my shelves. I love both of these Series. I have not read all of the Books in the Two Series yet but I want to though. I think I will just get the rest of the Books from my Library. A lot of Good Recommendations of Third Grade Books ❤️ Take Care & Happy Reading ❤️🤗📚🔰📖❤️
if you want a fun chapter book for your kids you should try "charlie and halley break the story. " by R.K. Keandrick . my kids laughed themselves silly and will so did I when I read it.

Those are some great ones that you mentioned, a lot of those we did as first read alouds!
We're not a fan of some of ones with kids when they get mean either. Unfortunately, it seems to be many of the ones focused on girls...rrrh

Another series to check out that's similar to Magic Tree House is the Adventures in Odyssey Imagination Station Series.
