Looking forward to watching this again but with my almost 14 year old and see what she wants to read after. Her favorite books (that she has reread multiple times over the past 2 years) King Arthur and Her Nights by KM Shea She is also rereading a favorite series of mine- Pride and Prejudice + Persuasion retellings BUT WITH DRAGONS Pemberly by Maria Grace is the first book in the series. For her independent history she is reading Voyage of the Sandpiper series by Jessica Glasner It starts state side in WW2 Christian historical fiction and a lot more information from the Jewish side of things. But the series goes past WW2 and ends up in Europe, Australia, China, the South Pacific…
I have boys under 10, so Ephraims recommendations are more their speed, but I’m adding Restart and Wednesday Wars to the list. I can’t believe how big your two oldest have gotten. Time flies.
Yes, they are getting so old! Restart and TheWednesday Wars are two that I want Ephraim to read in the next year. I've been holding out for The Wednesday Wars because I want him to love it.
* imagine me rubbing my palms together * Well, you have come to the right place! Here are some of my favorites: - Starfish by Lisa Fipps - Ode to a Nobody by Caroline Brooks DuBois - Worst Case Collin by Rebecca Caprara - Forget Me Not by Ellie Terry - Closer to Nowhere by Ellen Hopkins I hope you enjoy them all!
I love novels-in-verse! I''m currently reading my 45th one, but am too early in to know if I can recommend it. Hidden and Alone are both amazing. I believe a sequel/companion novel to Alone is coming out this year. Ode to a Nobody is one I really enjoyed as well! The Road to After by Rebekah Lowell is amazing. I am 98% of the time a with-my-eyes reader, but the audio book is fantastic! My favorite from last year is Macy McMillan and the Rainbow Goddess by Shari Green. Oh gosh, so many more! I'm trying not to overwhelm. So I will shush now. :)
Raeca is so sweet! I need to read more of Susie Finkbeiner's books. The All American is the only one I read and loved it. To hear that it wasn't your favorite of hers makes me feel like I'm missing out. Haha
I've read "one for the Murphys" a few weeks ago and loved it. Maybe raeca would like it too. It's about a 12 year old girl in fostercare and it's very heart hitting (i don't know how to wright it correctly) and funny at the same time.
My older teen daughter read West With Giraffes by Lynda Rutledge and loved it, might be one that yours would enjoy as well. P.S. we love Ally Carter YA books, thanks for introducing us to them

Maybe we'll have opposite tastes for Susie Finkbeiner but I think you're in for a real treat with her others!
@IntentionalHomeschooling I'm very excited! I'll let you know what I think. 😊
