I have a Chevelle with similar vents. How do you replace the vent ball? Does it just fit in the tube?

Gudday Tom. Great Series. Quick question, if you use the heater and hot air blows through the vents do you get a strong grease smell blowing through if you use bearing grease? Just restoring a 1974 C3 convertible over here in Perth West Australia. You tube makes it a small world!
