I've heard a lot of negative reviews about the Crystal Light having a lot of issues causing people to return it and apparently their customer service is terrible. Apparently the lenses often come warped or not working. Anyone else heard this?
in fact, if you do simracing or simflight only= crystal light if you play randomly all games = quest 3 if you can get both, they the best headset for the price
Keep in mind the quest wirelessly thing is determined by your WiFi I have 1g of wifi and it still runs like shit on pcvr and I have a high end pc so it’s not my pc. I’m sticking to my index. Index on top
Changed the channel on my router and its been flawless for years, maybe ur sharing ur connection with other users which will take away from the quest. index is just so old and overpriced and can't do as much as the quest can for the price. Even the pimax light is overpriced with membership fees which is a joke. I had to also put my family on another router just so I can make sure my bandwidth is for me which also helps a lot, 1 video call while I was on my headset when I first got it made it lag and I have a high end router.
Pimax Crystal Light has 82% more pixels than Quest 3. Nearly double the resolution. However, the claim that Crystal Light has higher FOV is not true. The Crystal Light's FOV is actually a bit smaller. Pimax is dishonest about its FOV marketing claims.
i really dont like there is some many diffenrt ones to buy from i just looking for best money can buy that doesnt have anything to do with meta/facebook
Do not even bother with this video. Just know that : - Quest 3 as no Display Port unlike the Pimax - end of Story. Crystal Light was created as PCVR. Quest 3 as Roaming VR. NO need for long discussion Quest 3 is crushed by Crystal light in term of PCVR. Also in FoV, confort (quest 3 will need all the accessories to be confortable)
I do personally think that there are some other points of difference that are important to discuss though but I understand that perhaps that isn't the case for everybody either way I hope you still enjoyed the video and that you have a fantastic day :)
I'm absolutely glad the Q3 doesn't have rechargeable? I'm sure a pack of rechargeable batteries and the charger is a lot cheaper than a second set of controllers to have on standby. No one wants to have their controllers battery running out in the middle of the game and then have to put them on a charger screw that BS. I can pop my batteries out of my quest 3 controllers and pop new ones in in a matter of seconds.
Lets see what other VR head set can you use the META apps on? Yeah really don't share that. There is no other VR headset out there that can do that. Now to play VR games you can buy on say Steam or the like or you use UEVR thats UE games version 4 and 5 that will just RUN in VR.. yeah its AMAZING. Or you use VORPX to play PC games. There are hundreds that you can use with VORPX. So yes in this case the Pimax Crystal Light is hands down the way to go. It will cost you more but oh its Worth it.
What is the best vr headset of all time in your opinion?
quest 3 wins no diff
Well, whoever gets VR to become more mainstream in my book.
The Bigscreen Beyond.
Somnium VR1

Nice review. Does this Pimax works with OpenXR runtime in SteamVR? Is it possile to use Valve controllers with this headset?
Pimax lost me at their legendary horrible customer service and quality
I see what you mean there
After you've experienced the clarity of Crystal Light, it's hard to go back.
I can imagen
Also; with a USB 3.0 cable, you can use the quest 3 as a pcvr headset.
Keep in mind the quest wirelessly thing is determined by your WiFi I have 1g of wifi and it still runs like shit on pcvr and I have a high end pc so it’s not my pc. I’m sticking to my index. Index on top

Crystal light and eye glasses? Is that comfortable? I cant spend more money on those custom prescription lenses for headset. Thanks
I would say I am not a fan of using real glasses in vr headsets and prefer wearing lenses myself or getting custom ones
Thanks for the video. You mentioned the resolution and fov differences but didn't give us any numbers. Can you provide them?

Quest 3 resolution: 2064x2208 per eye Crystal light: 2880x2880 per eye

What is the best one for strictly pcvr and flight sim ?
Crystal Light for the best visuals for flight sim
crystal light probably
I think pimax crystal light could be awesome if you a hardcore pcvr gamer but personally I will just go for quest 3
