- Takla Makan is the artist name of Englishman Tony Allgood.
Tony has been producing music for over 28 years. His main influences are Tangerine Dream, Mike Oldfield and Jean Michel Jarre. However, over the years inspiration has come from many sources including the late 80s rave scene, classical works and film soundtracks. This mix and match of musical genres has come together in a style that is distinctly Tony's and won him considerable acclaim from listeners and EM critics all over the world.
He has produced six albums. For a long time Takla Makan had problems finding a home on a commercial label. Many have been approached but the difficulty in tying his music down to a particular genre has scared all too many of them. Even so, Tony has been selling CD-Rs direct to the public for many years. Takla Makan is an uyghur name of a desert in Xinjiang, means "once you get in, you'll never get out" or "Place of No Return". It's interisting that Tony have chosen it to name his project. I'm uyghur and I like your music, good luck to you!

I find nobody should be inbetween nobody . Evedrybody is unique in himself , So is his art , Music is one of highest forms of art given by the creator to mankind.
It s like if you would give three different artist the same paint same brushes and the same background to paint and tell them to paint a tree or an apple . Picasso s apple would look different to Rembrand s apple and van GOgh s apple would look different to both of the previous once.
That is art. The uniquesness of each person within the eyes of the creator.
Praise the LOrd for music and the unvailing of his greatness to us mankind through music itself

I've been a TD fan since the 80s and like a lot of their better quality stuff. This is a nice track. Definitely better than some of the dross that's out there. A bit of quality. Quite soothing to listen to. Thanks
