I just heard a new interview of Tuomas Holopainen of Nightwish. He was asked to name his favorite song and this was the song he would take with him into the desert island. He said he listens too this song almost every day, before going to sleep. He has listened to it thousands of times.

I just listened to that interview with Tuomas. Being a great fan of Vangelis I can't remember having heard this piece before. But I do understand why Tuomas likes it so much! Unmistakenly Vangelis but also very resemblant to some Nightwish songs (I get some H::N vibes).

@@fjnw Absolutely, some of these sounds could've been used for the start of the album, very reminscent of Music in particular.

It is so great to see people still see the depth of this piece of art and don't hesitate to express their feelings. I'm usually looking out of my window to the sky while listening to this. What I see there is so beautiful! All the places I want to be and all the people I want to meet. And should that happen one day or not, it is something not to be given up or forgotten. Dreams sometimes are the last thing we have, so we should keep them in our hearts...

01 /10 / 2011 , 2 years later , i am travelling again and i hope that i can see the dance of the clouds and the coming of the storm .How happy man i am now , as i feel like an angel of the sea .

Same timeline of appreciation... Was on vacation in Panama City, Florida with family and friends, saw Chariots of Fire on the large screen in surround stereo and I was changed after watching the film and hearing such a powerful score. The music had such a huge impact...and then nearly everything he has done since...Also...Agree about Blade Runner,. The Bounty, Antarctica and 1492, are three additional amazing soundtracks (Haunting and mesmerizing) beyond what is mentioned, but it's all so good, that it's like a continuing treasury with each new project being stocked deeper and deeper into our psyche...Broadening our considerations, affecting our choices in life. I believe it's that powerful.

When I hear this song I envision an enormous illuminated dome of glass in the darkness at the bottom of the ocean. And once every few seconds wisps of light appear out of the dark background and they begin circling the dome before entering it with the same howling noise present in the background of this wonderful song.

Great video by the way. It reminds my of my homeland, Bretagne, in the west of France. Regards

Very surprised to hear this in Stranger Things 4. It stuck out to me, not least because the song came a decade after the setting of Stranger Things, but it's such an iconic track, it didn't fit with the episode.
