You're probably seeing my TOGS. Thumb Over Grip. They allow alternative hand positions by hooking your thumb over them. I'm a big fan. For long events like Leadville or Boise Trails Challenge they are lifesavers.
that's the same direction I have been thinking about, from the Epic (7) Pro. however, I don't really race, other than a small race here and there. so, Flight Attendant is not a priority. In my case, I prefer my current suspension/dropper Fox Factory Kashima...Matte Black/Gold
Arundel Mandible carbon. I don't have any complaints. I've never lost a bottle. Easy in and out with Purist bottles. Can't comment on other bottle brands. I only own Purist bottles.
Really Nice machine! Congratulations! I’m planning To do the same, so I have a question, is possible To use this frameset without the FA but using the handlebar lock control (any) I mean, for the fork of course is possible but what about the shock? As there is no place to insert the cables inside the frame. Thanks!
Yes, I ended up setting up the suspension without Flight Attendant for a few weeks. The top tube has an opening in it to run the cable for the twist-loc that exits right in front of the shock. I'll try to get another video up.
@@Highway_95 thanks, there are 2 opening ? One for the rear brake and another for the lock control cable? I’m curious to see which control lock are you using in Fork and Shock. Waiting for next video!
as someone that works in a specialized retailer, you couldve just bought the flight attendiant dampers for your fork and shock and have your local bikeshop install it for you? no need to sell the current fork and shock.
@@joshuasimms117 only the fork can be upgraded. The shock has separate machining for the twistloc vs FA control module. Retail on the damper assembly and control module for the fork add to $650, the shock is $850, so $1500 total for the upgrade. Sell the old shock for $300 and end up around $1200 out of pocket. Retail on the FA fork and shock comes to $2450, sell old fork and shock hopefully for around $1000 and end up at $1450 out of pocket and don't have to pay shop for the install or worry that it's done right. Ends up pretty close to a wash...and I'm not paying retail for the FA stuff.
Hi, very nice build, trying to biuld the same frame. Could you tell me please what frame size is this and how tall are you? I am in between M and L at 5'9 (178 cm). Thank you
@@funLad80 I'm also 178cm. I ride a Large. I was really tempted to buy a Medium and use a longer stem to get the right reach but keep a shorter wheelbase. I ended up going with a Large since my last Epic is a Large and I was very comfortable on it.
@@funLad80I currently have 15mm of spacers under the stem. I think that with one more removed position will be perfect and nearly identical to my other Epic. When my new fork comes I'll cut it shorter.
Bro! CMON! the colors on the pre built ones are awesome!
Bro! The colors look like something an old man would put on a Buick.😅
I def have gone up in level of bike because of color. I love this matte carbon look. I have it on my tarmac.
Ha, yeah, my Tarmac is also bare matte carbon.
Hey there, thanks for the video, Can you run a shimano XT 8100 crankset on one of these? Will there be enough space? thanks so much! Tim
You just have to make sure that you have XT8100 that is Boost compatible and buy the matching bottom bracket.
Hmm I love the Sworks colors. 🤷♂️
What size chainring are you riding? Does the bike accommodate a 28 tooth chainring?
I generally ride a 32T. Sometimes a 34T for short track and sometimes a 30T for marathon events. It will accommodate a 28T.
Looks good, what are those clips on top of the bars?

Hey, thanks for quick response! Just ordered same cages. I’ll have same frame by next week. Very excited!
