99 percent of them wont interact with you especially in tourist areas (big cities) but if you go to the more “local” destinations then they would be a little bit more curious. But even then, if you don’t know how to speak their language most won’t even bother to interact because of the language barrier.
Actually, this is the real China - I lived there for two years and often had encounters like this - but usually with a translator (friend) as my Chinese is bad). Most Chinese are friendly and curious and I had some outstanding hospitality shown to me when I lived there.

I was astudent in Beijing years ago and yes, people are friendly and nice .. curious about foreigners... Only bad thing is sometimes they treat you like an object or even a pet... Chinese and Japanese culture are quite different. Japs did get influenced by some Chinese culture a little bit, but they focus a lot on hierarchy. The Chinese also has that but not to such a strong extent within the man on the street. Northern Chinese especially are very bold and open while southern Chinese can be more shy.
ye chinese people are a lot more sociable. even most housing built in china is very communal and people are naturaly sociable. also you will find chinese people in china are probably more warm and welcoming than in western countries like uk or us as the people going to the uk or us are most liekly quite wealthy students and don't represent the majority of the country

I was astudent in Beijing years ago and yes, people are friendly and nice .. curious about foreigners... Only bad thing is sometimes they treat you like an object or even a pet... Many dinner invites and invitations but eventually you realize some gain clout by knowing you... Not everyone is really your friend... But when you make a true friend in China they will be your friend for life and defend you from bad people and fake friends there. I love my Chinese friends and miss them.

It's definitely easier to make friends in China. The Chinese are a very warm and welcoming people especially if you speak their language.
Chinese and Japanese culture are quite different. Japs did get influenced by some Chinese culture a little bit, but they focus a lot on hierarchy. The Chinese also has that but not to such a strong extent within the man on the street. Northern Chinese especially are very bold and open while southern Chinese can be more shy.
Chinese people are more open minded and more open into conversations. While Japanese are more reserved.
ye chinese people are a lot more sociable. even most housing built in china is very communal and people are naturaly sociable. also you will find chinese people in china are probably more warm and welcoming than in western countries like uk or us as the people going to the uk or us are most liekly quite wealthy students and don't represent the majority of the country

America is a corrupt country when it comes to race relations. The absolute worst compared to every other. The ones that espouse strong racism is influenced by American culture.
Well it's different in America. It's a very diverse country and everyone has been around people of all colors our whole lives, long enough to know everyone is just human like us. A lot of places in East Asia are homogenous and this is probably the first black guy they've ever interacted with so it's normal to have questions and be curious. We call Americans racist for doing the same thing because y'all should know better by now, don't be disingenuous foo.
