Awesome video very long but it was worth watching - then I had the video beside me and kept stopping and starting it when I was doing the job. Took me about 4 hours (I am a 57 year old housewife not an electrician!) and could not get the 2 halves back together at the end after an hour or more trying so I gave it a bang with the hammer that did the trick. Thanks so much for the video saved getting a new machine!
I admire your patience! I am such a capsule addict I have lost count of how many machines I gone thru!. Bought the above model from the dump shop but slider had completely worn. Still I had to strip it for the sake of it. Perhaps the most painful appliance I had ever stripped down. Just saved the pump just in case I go camping and need a high pressure pup to force water thru a reverse osmosis membrane. Today I visited the dump shop again, scored another mod EN-125 the discontinued automatic one I already had a broken one. Managed to make one good one out of 2 and give them an overhaul. Just love Nespresso!
Your Tuto is the best for this machine but I have fixed the problem for 50 cents with a simple O’Ring inserted in the valve ! Size of the tore 1,6mm Diameter 15,9x19,1 mm
Thanks for a great instructional video ! I repaired it so quickly with your step by step guide. Took me less than 10 minutes to disassemble and put back together!
Nice video. In my case i just screwed of the cap turned the little black nipple and checked that the position between the black sealing and white sealing is correct. assemble the cap while holding the sealinh together. It works without the spare part.
Man, thanks very much for this video. it took me a while to pry the large sidepiece off, but then everything was a piece of cake. On mine there was water coming out under the machine, when running it and it turned out, that the nipple, where the waterhose connects to, going into the pump had broken off. There is no pressure on this part, so I glued it back on with super glue, and presently it runs well. Thanks a lot!
@@jimminycricket6618 You are very right about this: Lavazza, the Italian Espresso-Coffee company is offering bio-degradable caps, and man: they test like the real deal from the barista next door!
Thanks for the video here. The hardest part was getting the two halves apart. I ordered the part number you recommended. The part I received did not have the black cap thing on it. It seems to work without it, but if anyone else could weigh in I’d appreciate it.
Was very helpful for me, thanks. I for one even didn‘t replace the valve, just cleaned it and it works again. Only issue is the cutting of the retainer clips. I had to bend new ones with some spare wire. In the end: No costs, just 30 min work, that‘s it. Enjoy my espresso again
Hmmm my machine has started leaking from somewhere inside. Still works sorta but leaves a puddle. Not sure its worth the effort of repairing, especially trying to get that plastic case in half. Will use up the rest of my capsules and it's going in the bin then back to the espresso machine.
This video helped massively. Although when ordering a replacement part they sent the one without the black cap. Does this matter at all? Trying to find one with the black cap seems impossible. Cheers
This video helped a lot for me too, thanks for the step by step. I didn't have to replace the valve, just the black knob had come unscrewed that holds in the diaphragm. Side note, what was the background music? Pretty decent but I couldn't identify it. Can you share who that band was?
When I took off the metal panels, I could see water coming out somewhere around this pressure value (called a regulator here, part 29: coffeemachineparts.com.au/index.php/coffee-machine-parts/nespresso-spare-parts/nespresso-en125-pixie-spare-parts). But after I took the left half off like you show @2:45-@3:00, I tried running it again to verify where the water was coming from, but I couldn't get any--I think it needs back pressure to leak. I'll probably buy the part and see if that solves the problem, but are there other parts in that vicinity that tend to leak?
(replying to myself) ...and further down that page, they call it a "Nespresso EN 125 Flow Adjuster", and give it a different part #! But it looks the same.
Hi Michael, There are definitely other areas that “could”’ leak, but based on the amount of people still looking at this video I would say the part I replaced is the most likely cause. Good luck!
Hi, thank you for the clear disassembly video. I have a pixie which will not stay on. If I click the power button down, it is followed by an off click, almost like a solenoid disengaging. Is this also a pressure issue?
Hi Christopher, I’m glad you found it useful. I don’t know the ins and outs of the control mechanisms. Given the troubles with this model, I would probably just buy another model. Mine ended up with the same leaking issue, so it went in the bin. It was hard to see it go, but it wasn’t worth more time and effort. I had mine for 4 years before it kicked the bucket. I have friends with the magimix inissia who haven’t had any issues, but I imagine every model will have its demons. Good luck.
