The fact that a white notebook can stain easily can be a good thing though; it will get its own character so to speak over time - all the stains it collects will kind of tell a story about the story of the book (dirt-stain from your favorite spot in a park, water-stain from a river, ...). All that will make it unique after it is finished. Sure, signs of wear might also be noticeable on a darker notebook too - but since they are more visible on a white (/ lighter) notebook, it will shape its "character" even more and make it "more unique".
And if you finished your very loved notebook, put a clear film over it to preserve all the love stains. Or, if you don’t want to have them, put it on after the stickers for protection.

I really like the idea of a book to compile all your knowledge, but I have a question, all the videos I have seen on TH-cam about commonplace books are very neat, organized and aesthetic but does it actually matter if it is aesthetic?
@@ishita_1980 of course not ^^ you can use it however you want ~ the purpose of the commonplace book is to reduce the mental clutter so we don't have to think about everything during the day 🌷 you can write poetry if you want, you can draw, some of them even write to-do lists or shopping lists :'D it's entirely up to you ✨
