For those asking what happened. I'm not sure. Yesterday she was a bit lethargic but she was up walking around with Tiny in the pig room and she was eating and drinking just fine. So this morning it was a really big shock to find her passed away next to Tiny. If she was sick she was hiding it. Like I said I did notice she was lethargic so I checked her body and found no bumps or cuts and I checked her teeth and eyes and everything seemed fine.
I know the feeling and I'm ever so sorry to hear what happened. My gorgeous 2 year old grey male Granite passed away suddenly on the 17th of May this year. He'd been absolutely fine the day before (16th) but then when I went to check on him at 9pm on the Friday, he'd just gone. Guinea pigs are notoriously good at hiding illnesses so you never know if they're poorly or not. Again, I'm ever so sorry to hear about Kona. To stop me feeling so sad, I think of Granite up in 'Piggy Heaven', running around, playing and eating to his hearts content! It really reassures me, and Kona's probably doing the same thing right now. Kind regards and all the best to you guys
She was a sweet guinea pig, and a gentle loving mother and grandmother. She did a good job raising her family. Shes happy with her husband and grandson now. You did a good job man ❤

She might have left us for a new adventure, but that doesn't mean she's gone. Guinea pigs aren't gone when they die, guinea pigs are gone when they're forgotten.
My guinea pig died more than 5 years ago, but never does a day go by when I don't think about him. I even keep track of the number of days that have gone by since he died. He will have been dead for 2,000 days on the 2nd of December this year.

Hey, this is gonna be hard, but this is a part of life This is actually the first time I’ve ever bought a super thanks, with my own money I lost my favorite sweetest pig in febuary and holy god it hurt It feels like a bullet to the chest But one thing I know Is the happy memories is what left me with the peace I needed We all unfortunately experience losses like this It hurts like hell man But even at the losses we experience , there has been scientific proof in fact that things get better I’ve been a fan of the channel since capybara and arty was born ! I just don’t comment often But I want you to make sure you take the time u need to grieve if that’s how u feel is gonna happen which is valid Just also think of all those happy memories! I remember when I lost my little piggy 6 years ago and then dreaming about saying goodbye every night and tell her how much I miss her until I dreamed of her less and less. It was a very tough time for me, but as long as little kona is always remembered, she lives forever in our hearts as my little piggy lives in mine😊❤

@@KonaSuba i hope you feel better, i know the loss of any pet is something hard to handle. I’ve had to bare the loss of some of my closest fur buddies and even to this day I still think about them. The best thing to do is think about how you’ve always been there for them, how much you both showed each other love, and how you both were there since day one! However now with Louie, it’s like Paddy hasn’t left. Sure Louie drives us mad however he’s just an energetic goofball who loves us and we love him right back.

I dont know if it was the heat, I think the heat was a issue but it didnt get too hot in the house to the point it would caused this. I think there was more that she was hiding
@KonaSuba She may have had an underlying issue which guinea pigs as a species are very good at hiding so don't blame yourself, they couldn't have ask for a better owner.
Kona looks so fine that she almost seems AI generated at times. You raised a fine piggy my good sir. Young looking til the very end, she was. I don't know if Guinea Pigs have some sentience to them, but if they did, she'd be glad she was found by you. Much love, much support.
Kona was such a sweet girl. I can’t imagine the grief that you must feel, but just know that we’re all here for you. You share your love of guinea pigs and we share our love and support for you and your guinea pig family. On a personal note, watching your videos helps me feel better. As someone who suffers from anxiety and depression, it’s not easy for me to go on. But your piggos have helped carry me through it all. I lost one of my piggies this year as well. My oldest was 7 and she crossed the rainbow bridge earlier this year, February or March [I can't remember].

Hi Martin my condolences on the passing of your Guinea pig kona she was a lovely gorgeous pig I loved watching her my favourite video was when she bonked one of her children tiny that was funny may she rest in peace I know it hurts when I lost Theo my first Guinea pig it hurt a lot but I remembered one thing I gave him a good home and love and he would remember that always so would kona or mama kona and grandma kona as she will always be remembered . I know it hurts but it will get better

@@KonaSuba i hope you feel better, i know the loss of any pet is something hard to handle. I’ve had to bare the loss of some of my closest fur buddies and even to this day I still think about them. The best thing to do is think about how you’ve always been there for them, how much you both showed each other love, and how you both were there since day one! I’m glad mama kona will always be remembered
I’m still in shock to be honest. I can’t believe it. I can’t believe she’s passed away. This is so heartbreaking that this happened to such a loving, caring mother.

@@KonaSubaI do too. When Paddy, our first dog, passed away in August 2 years ago, it definitely felt really weird without him being around to greet us anymore. However now with Louie, it’s like Paddy hasn’t left. Sure Louie drives us mad however he’s just an energetic goofball who loves us and we love him right back.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I shed a few tears for you. I remember how hard it was for me when I lost my guinea pig.. I was only 15 so nearly 12 years ago now but it still gets me sometimes.

If I'm being honest, I'm struggling not to cry ever since I read the sad news a few hours ago, as even though I live very very far away from you, I feel like I knew Mama Kona just like you did (especially considering that you're the only guinea pigs channel that I gladly follow almost every day) 😭😭 Furthermore, I also genuinely loved her because she was the sweet matriarch of your herd and a wonderful (grand)ma (regarding it, I've still impressed in my mind the episode of her chirping like a bird when she saw Tiny missing) 😭 So really, rest in peace sweet Kona, and I hope you found Suba and Champ in guinea pigs afterlife ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I dont know if it was the heat, I think the heat was a issue but it didnt get too hot in the house to the point it would caused this. I think there was more that she was hiding
@KonaSuba She may have had an underlying issue which guinea pigs as a species are very good at hiding so don't blame yourself, they couldn't have ask for a better owner.

Kona was such a sweet girl. I can’t imagine the grief that you must feel, but just know that we’re all here for you. You share your love of guinea pigs and we share our love and support for you and your guinea pig family.
On a personal note, watching your videos helps me feel better. As someone who suffers from anxiety and depression, it’s not easy for me to go on. But your piggos have helped carry me through it all.
I hope you continue sharing your pigs, but if you need a break we’ll all understand. Just be sure to cuddle your pigs close.
