The thing I love about Skar King is that he’s the first genuinely evil villain in the Monsterverse. Yes there was Ghidorah but he was more equivalent to a force of nature. Skar King is very much aware of what he’s doing and he enjoys it.
Even if he was more equivalent to a force of nature, Ghidorah was still aware of what he doing, too. Like during the Antarctica scene, Ghidorah took sadistic pleasure in killing the Monarch’s military soldiers. Also, once he usurped and took Godzilla’s alpha status, Ghidorah used his alpha call to awaken the titans to cause destruction and natural disasters on an apocalyptic level so he can not only terraform the Earth to his own liking, but also to kill all of humanity. His intentions and everything he did was out of pure malevolence and malice.
6:37 The way Shimo refused to attack Kong at first makes me think that this is not the first time that Skar King has made her kill an Ape or another Titan in general. He must have forced her to kill so many innocent titan/ape that on more than one occasion she has tried to refuse to do it, as seen in this scene. Even at 6:57, it seems like she stops to look at Kong as if she were saying "Forgive me."
When Kong roared at Skar, he said, "This is wrong, and I'm taking over your empire as the new leader for the future of these great apes". This angers Skar King, who roars back as if he would not allow it. He's more of a dictator inside of the monster/kaiju body. According to Adam Wingard, he knows normally if you are doing a Godzilla, King Kong, Pacific Rim, or Gamera movie, and even shows, like Power Rangers/Super Sentai, Ultraman (Ultra Series), Attack on Titan, Neon Genesis Evangelion, and Gundam, including video games like Resident Evil, Metal Gear Solid, or Final Fantasy, humanity is the biggest threat. Coming up with an all-new original villain is completely different in the way you can see the evil side of humanity but from the monster's perspective as we see things that are going on today, and in the past as well. While working on this movie, the film team looked up different types of apes from the ape community where some have grotesque, and mean looks to them. While they developed ways to make this character, they want to make people see that Kong is more gentle and soft to him whereas Skar is evil and menacing.
I know this isn’t related to this scene in the movie, but now that I think of it, even if Kong managed to bring Godzilla down to the Hollow earth when he was knocked out, I think Godzilla still would’ve been really angry when he woke up.
@@mrspino4002Well it was, since Kong did later on brought Godzilla down into the Hollow Earth to stop Skar King and his army from reaching the surface which was the real world, and it was a pretty tough battle for the both of them.
It's just like a bunch of dumb monkeys finding something we have very funny for no reason, and Skar King was laughing like "He's got a fake tooth and looks stupid with it, am I right?" or something like that.
This implies that Kong is far less of an animal because of the artificial tooth he was given by the humans. In both fear and loyalty, the rest of the apes join in knowing if they don't humanize their ruler because if they don't they're dead.
@@kylenaversen Well their leader is very ruthless and he can kill or hurt his own people when he wants to or when one ape challenges him like Kong, also Kong's metal tooth doesn't make less of the animal he is, he's still the most strongest and fiercest ape of all-time.
Well people kept saying that he's not physically strong, but he is more agile than Kong, and he seems to be very smart, like when he laughs maliciously, when he wears and takes off his wip like a person, and a lot of other things like that.
That KO when he got in his face was hilarious
I lost it in the theater when that happened lol

“Does he respect the 1v1?” Well, not exactly, but technically yes

I don't see why that would be funny when Skar King seen Kong's silver tooth
It’s seen as funny because he got help from humans or just the fact that he’s missing teeth and had to replace one
It’s funny to him because he’s different
It's just like a bunch of dumb monkeys finding something we have very funny for no reason, and Skar King was laughing like "He's got a fake tooth and looks stupid with it, am I right?" or something like that.
