As an ex-pat Kiwi living in Canada I love these documentaries by Craig Potton. I lived in NZ until I was 11 and my family moved across the world where I now live in Ontario, Canada. I have many, many memories of NZ. We lived in various places on North Island, including Westshore and Napier. Thank you, Craig for giving me a taste of what will always be, to some extent, "back home." I am now 67, so it must be a very different place to what I remember. But some things don't change. Pohutakawas, magpies singing in the tall gum trees, fantails, my fave birds there [here my fave birds are chickadees and NA robins], and the beach, crashing waves,. Awesome.

I worked for Greenpeace in the late 80s in the conservation and nesting sea turtles. One nest I found a nest with 81 eggs, moved nest to a nursery and watched many many babies crawl into the ocean! Had a chance to work the Sea Shepard at sea but did not which would have been deadly as it disappeared in the Atlantic between Miami and parts north!
