San Sebastan 24h drums festival

It's midnight of January the 20th and San Sebastian, Spain, is celebrating its festival. The whole city is dressed in blue and white to celebrate the day of the patron.
The festival Begins with the hoisting of the flag while drummers plays Sarriegi's "the March of San Sebastian”. From now on everybody keep on playing and singing with enthusiasm
Companies march through all the neighborhoods and streets of the town while playing drums during 24 hours.
135 companies take part in the city festival. Nine are composed only by men. By Women only one
The origins of this cacophonic festival are believed to go back to 1836. The first suits reproduced the uniforms worn by Gipuzkoa battalions that took part in the Spanish War of Independence agains Napoleon's troops and had a French military style clothing.
