    Hi Andy, can you also do a comparison of ISAs and LISAs available since financial year is ending and people might want to switch

  • @papiramos1627
    @papiramos1627 ปีที่แล้ว

    I switched to the edge. Andy you should have made it clear on previous video that you need a saving account on edge to get 4% on 4000

    Probably not worth it at all for me with either. £27 a year with the 123 and £19 a year with the edge on my current bills. Will consider again if my bills drastically increase

      Same, never thought this was worth the micro management and set up time. I'd rather use my spaces in starling and manage my money easier

    Thanks Andy for this great info! I’m newly arrived to the UK, needing to open a local bank account. Relatively high income earner but no established credit here in the UK yet. Ideally would want an account with high interest AND availability internationally. My wife is against the online only banks, preferring the reassurance of walking into a branch. Santander is my top choice right now. Is there another bank we should consider? Don’t mind paying a reasonable monthly fee. I’ll check out your other resources, thanks so much!

    we have the old 123 joint account,we have recently added £20,000 but we wondered if there is a easy access account which would give a higher interest rate?

    Hi Andy. Any decent cashback credit or debit cards? I have Chase, but my 1 year is coming to an end. I also have an American Express Everyday Platinum, but it's only 0.5%.

    Thank you for the video. Just came across your channel. Please can you advise the best savings account for 85,000? Not sure about the Chip Account?? Santander is only 1.5% for its E-Saver.

      Look at Zopa, Kroo and Chip they are the best at the moment for easy access

    Hi Andy. Would you suggest to split your savings that are over 85k into different saving accounts, so that you are protected by the fscs or would it be best to put all your savings into one high interest savings account. ?

      ISA Index Fund might be worth researching

    My water bill is included in my service charge, so I don't think I can get the cashback on that. I got a Santander Mortgage so I'm probably more worth to swap than others but it looks like I'd be losing out on £1 a month not having water on it.

    • @BeCleverWithYourCash
      @BeCleverWithYourCash  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you will lose out on that. Also, just remember the £5 cap on each tier, so though the mortgage is a great extra to earn on, it’ll be along with council tax, tv etc

  • @traciesmobile683
    @traciesmobile683 ปีที่แล้ว

    Presumably you are not on a meter re water. Mobiles seem quite high.

    • @BeCleverWithYourCash
      @BeCleverWithYourCash  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep on a meter. £8 for a SIM each isn’t too bad, though yes some newer providers have begun offering lower rates

    Hi Andy, woth regards to the 2% back on gas and electricity. If I up my dd to 250 a month, then I get 2% and that's a fiver right? Current one is only 125 but I'd be happy to up it. If the money sat in the joint account it would get spent before you say you get 2% anyway

    • @BeCleverWithYourCash
      @BeCleverWithYourCash  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep, you can do that if you want. You can always ask the energy provider to refund if there’s too much credit sitting there

    Ignore me if I am wrong... 4£ fee for a 5£ max cashback... Not worth spending 1min discussing about it
    Edit... Realised just now is 5 each tier
