  • Every goalie and parent MUST show this video to their head coach. We give simple advice on how head coaches can prevent destroying their goalies in practice. We talk about how head coaches can simply gain the basic knowledge needed to not be purposefully ignorant. We talk about goalie friendly practice design, how to properly announce the starter, how to enforce proper warm up mechanics for the team and simply how to win more games. This will likely be the most important video I have done to help make a goalie’s development and journey in hockey more productive.
We also get on the ice with @krafty_30 and go over Stance Basics, Stance Depths, Common errors and how your stance should be like your fingerprint.

That’s exactly why I have been putting this stuff out for 30 years. Great coaches SHOULD steal drills. A crappy coach only uses their own drills….😎 thanks for watching

As a goalie myself and my son a goalie in U13 tier 2 hockey I always struggle with when should a goalie be pulled. The head coach has asked me about this my thought was if a dman or forward flubs the play 3 or even 4 times in a row do we bench the kid for the rest of the game so why do it to the goalie. U15, U18 Junior higher end A or AAA I can see it because the the forward very well could get benched for the game. But with the younger kids lower level I figure let them play it out. Am I out to lunch? Just curious what everybodies thoughts are?

I think the younger ones should stay in much longer to learn to battle
