    It's a Olcostephaus, from the Cretaceous fossil layers found usually in Speeton.

      This one is a real one off find, lucky to walk over it , I think it had come out of the clay in the cliff but the fascinating story is it was somehow dragged halfway across the country by an icesheet to end up being deposited here ,

    Incredible, so rare, I’ve don’t think I’ve seen any of the Yorkshire fossil hunters pick up one of these!!

      I had never seen one before , when I first found it I even thought it was a Nautilus , apparently these can be found in the Speeton area and they are a Cretaceous ammonite

    Quite a lot of horn coral and crinoids, if you know where to look, in Ireland. I've also seen ammonites here on the west coast

      Thats intriguing ammonites on the West Coast I know nothing about the geology of Irelands coastline will have to look into it thanks for watching

      @@Treasurehunter11001 I think there was a shallow sea over Ireland and the horn coral dates that around 400 million years ago. At least that's what seems to be the case

      Thanks Max yeah this was a real surprise never seen anything like it before.
      I found a huge piece of Rhomb Porphyry the other day and broke some off to keep hope this isn't considered a criminal offence at least I left some for other people 🤣. I didn't realise its considered the pebble hunters Holy grail in some parts

      I am off to Colliers End tomorrow. I have spied another disused quarry there.
