The dead can use burned paper money as real money in the Underworld. This is why they burn paper money. Some also burn paper cars, paper clothing, and even paper mansions for the dead to use.
@@Lehsee. It's based on religions, a mixture of Taoism and Buddhism. As a Taiwanese, I myself don't believe it, but it's very fun to watch the burning. It was hilarious that you bumped into such a traditional funeral. Next time it's better to show some piety though BTW, Glad that you like Taiwan😁❤
