Your video's are always a pleasure to watch. I picked up a Sunpak PZ42x (GN 40) to use as an optical trigger to do high speed with my Elinchrom's, but now I'm trying it with my Canon G10. Glad you are showing the deficiencies of using TTL. Thank-you.

Doesn't work with my Canon 700D in E-TTL mode. It appear as flash work when I change zoom flash also changes it, flash shows apperture, but when I take a picture flash fired, but picture looks dim like there no any flash at all. My guess this flash can't work synchronously with my camera...

I needed something more powerful than my 430 EX II and wanted both master and slave option. Settled on the Youngnuo
568EXII. So far like it a lot. Guide no. 58 as well. $92 USD and it works with the 430.

If you really like the Sunpak go for it by all means, but from my experience its way less inferior compared to some of the other 3rd party flashes.

As for how to switch from "slave" to "master": I was able to find the instruction on-line. It is in very, very broken English. However, page 20 deals with switching from slave to master. It states, and I quote, "Long press [Flash model select button] 3 seconds, flash light will shift between flash model (TTL/M/Multi) and SLAVE flash model (E-TTL SLAVE c/I-TTL SLAVE n).
In English, I believe it means that if you hold down the MODE button for three seconds it will shift between Slave and Master. Now, I am using a Nikon D750. It does not happen when on my camera. But then again, if I change from TTL to Manual, and then back, the auto-zoom function stops, and I have to turn off and on the camera to get it to work again.
That being said, the manual, with some deciphering, explains a lot of functions. Well worth looking up.
I don't know if I'm allowed to post the link: dev.tocad.com/stage/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/DF3600U-Manual.pdf

Hello Richard.. Am loving your channel...
Would you recommend using flash for when the bride walks down the aisle? I have both a 6d and 5d mki... I always assumed with church high ceilings it probably isn't a choice?

I am a pretty big fan of this Sunpak DF3500U, as I use it for Nikon. Lots of great features, and I keep learning about more of them by struggling through the poorly translated instruction manual, and now another more useful respite. The Kenro flash that you mention has a much better manual on their website. These instructions even explain how to use DF3600U as a master using the Creative Lighting System for Nikon. I haven’t tested that yet, but unless this feature was added to the Kenro after the release of the Sunpak version, it should be all good.

Mine has started to play up now, I am losing confidence in them. Mine will give out full power as an interment flash and then shut the camera down. May be changing soon. Don't have time for emails at the moment, i will answer any questions here for you

This flash is not recognizing my nikon system. Its cheap. Keep away from it. I would rather suggest an Yongnuo anytime.

Oh my goodness. I appreciate your effort but this was very passive aggressive and its all over the place. If you want to make an information video at least act as if you are interested. This was VERY difficult to listen to. This is also not a video for beginners who are wanting to know how to use this particular flash and learn all the settings. Maybe this helped out people who already have a working knowledge of external flashes. Best of luck. Cheers.
