Everyone saying CT did it first but Armani and Becca had a glowy base product way before CT. Also strobe cream by Mac (which in my opinion is better). Social media and CT's rampant marketing made hers seem like it was the first 😅
But she was first to make something with a wand applicator, and it isn’t necessarily a highlighter. The mac strobe cream, is really nice but it also has shimmer where as CT doesn’t. Whilst it may seem like it’s something that’s not new, it’s definitely something that is unique in its own sense. It’s undetectable when you get your shade, where as becca is thicker and shades can alter the way it appears on the skin.
@@Fauziia.aI'd have to disagree, I've been a working makeup artist for a 15 years and the strobe cream and flawless filter are the same in terms of shimmer. The consistency is different because technology has advanced. The only other difference is the strobe cream doesn't break me out whereas flawless filter does 👀 the ct essentially is a liquid highlighter with a thinner consistency, it's nothing massively new on the market. Brands are just renaming products 'skin tint' 'lip oil' but really they're just reinventing the wheel to sell people things! Ct just knows how to market herself very well. Although the adverts don't make me wanna buy anything 😅
@@Jaz881same here. Adverts and overall aesthetics put me off CT! The Hollywood flawless filter made my skin feel oily, and I usually go for occlusive and moisturising creams and oils as my skin is dry. I decluttered it when I got one of Lisa Eldridge’s -Crystal Nebula- which was hydrating but didn’t have that uncomfortable “greasy” feeling.
The Dior is absolutely stunning! It's a grown-up CT a more sophisticated if you will.
I'm just not into a metallic anything on my face anymore. There was a time and a place. I think now it's more of that "glow within" look for me. All that to say, I love some of CT products, but I LOVE Dior. Thank you for the review beautiful 😊
Morgannnnnnnn do the NEW Patrick Ta blushes please
omg I have them! Should I do a video on them?
@@MorganTurnerMakeup yes 100%! ✅😊
yes plsss@@MorganTurnerMakeup
I have been wearing the Dior Max flow for years, but this video explained Dior’s line just so well. I love the way you explain things. It’s been such a bright light watching you & your channel grow. Sending so much love, ❤️ Laura 🦋
It looks really pretty on your skin. Love the subtle glow.
I think these would pair beautifully under their matte foundation, which is my favorite formula they have
I've not tried the CT filter but the Dior looks softer and more natural. More my look. Thank you for showing this.
My foundations are Forever Glow and Forever Mate.
My primer of preference is Forever Glow (yes I have the mate primer too because it provides a bit of colour for no makeup days but...too mate for my 60 years old skin).
The Forever glow primer is something a mature woman should experience as it not only provides hydration but also leaves the skin peefect for the foundation blurring a bit (primers are not miracles) texture.
I only know that wearing Forever glow primer + Forever Glow foundation makes people to compliment my skin once and again.
And yes, you're going to be glowy but not in an oily gross way but like hydrated skin glow.
And I also use CT flawless number 2 on high points of the face as highlighter but sometimes I find myself thinking is maybe too metallic for me. So, I'm going to pic the luminazer in number 2 and I'm sold out in the pearlescent white and the darkest blush whatever the name is.
I can totally see me wearing those as we, here in Europe, go for things that are subtle and not Boom in the face.
And that's maybe why they made it so natural. Plus if it's skincare based I just want it.
I'm going yo pic the bronzer shade too because it can be interesting.
For my mature skin friends...I don't add powder products to cream products so I keep hydration on my skin as a way to avoid wrinkles showing out, only powder the center of the face and never the rest (never ever the undereyes).
And yes, of course, buy from the Dior website ALWAYS!!!
Not only you get the little samples you can choose (the little plumping gloss is SO cuteeeee), the little make-up bags (on purchases over a certain amount, just buy 2 things and you get it for sure) but you may also be able to personalize your backstage palettes with your name (and some other products) plus, when buying 2 or 3 things you can get the boxes, you can choose more simple kind of luxury bag or the box...go for the box!! Is a white box with the name Dior in gold in the top center, cardboard is soft and smooth, and you can use the boxes to store little items and leave the boxes out and around...Oh and the ribbon is usually white with Dior on gold all over the ribbon.
Plus, each palette comes in a thick linen bag that will be amazing when travelling to protect the palette or just to put inside your lio oils, creamy glosses etc.
Not to add every woman should buy one of the lip gloss cases (30€) that are limited edition and SO beautiful. Put it on your handbag and when using your gloss everyone will be asking about the beautiful case.
Yes, is an expensive brand BUT the luminazer is 52$ and the CT one is 45$ so...only 7 plus $ for and amazing skin care friendly luxury makeup item.
I do try and use all brands but for the elegance of the results, the compliments I get (been in USA 40 days and got me surprised to get compliments on my makeup in the street, in Disneyland, in restaurants...that doesn't happen in Europe if they are not your personal friends) I always keep Dior primers + Foundations with me as my basics (even the Dior Backstage skin tint).
Now I think Dior owes me a BIG present 😂😂😂😂😂
Thanks for the review, Morgan -- I've been seeing the sneak peeks of this for months now but no releases at retail stores has been killing me! I finally broke down and ordered the glow maximizer in 0 (the lightest) along with some other items and was disappointed. To me it is identical to the Chanel Les Beiges "Fluide Enlumineur Belle Mine" Sheer Healthy Glow Highlighting Fluid in color pearly glow (also the lightest shade), which has been out for years. I mean, the DIOR it is a lovely product, especially for under-painting or blending with a less glowy foundation, but it is not world-changing, as there are plenty of other products out there that do the same thing at a variety of price points (Westman Atelier has one, Valentino has one, obviously Chanel has a few, Charlotte Tilbury, ELF, etc.). It's great to hear you are moving and buying your first home -- you will make some really special memories there! ❤❤❤
My mature skin loves glow and hydration. Im 47 . Not really mature skin but getting there. But my skin looks more youthful with glow. I putchased the #2 and two of the blush . The owarl white and a light peach.
I actually love this look for you, Morgan. It’s very subtle and fresh looking, very angel like look for you. Only thing I’d add would be a liner on the eyes. Definitely what I love looking like when I want to go to work or just something more casual but still have a hint of glamour. I personally don’t like CT, so this looks very promising to me and ai also love Dior, this brand just works for me and my face. The pearly and pink one, are just like the highlighters in the 4 highlights palette, and I love them, I am curious if those would look better.
Yes 🎉 early, nice too see you beautiful lady Morgan, im so happy for you can’t wait to see your new home, congratulations 🎈 love you 🥰 God bless you and Jose. 😇❤️🌸
I love the Dior and the Charlotte Tilbury. Both are beautiful.
Love your reviews, Morgan! They’re always top-notch! I ordered the Star filter in 0 and the glow maximizer in the Peachy shade. Am enjoying them both thus far. 😊❤
This Glow Star Filter Concealer is my favorite
Thanks for this video, Morgan. I just picked up the Bronze Forever Glow blush maximizer highlighter today. It looks pretty on my complexion. Rosy looks pretty on my complexion too, but it was sold out in Sephora.
The Dior blushes looked pretty on you.
Pretty!! I agree, I think golds look better on deeper skin tones. I prefer these to CT as well. Pretty on you❤
I’m not a fan of the CT or Elf one but now that you next to each other, I think I like the Dior better, and might even give it a try.
The Dior is much more natural!
Thank you very much for this video!
These products have already been launched in France as first, so I had a chance to play with them and test them and I’ll be more than happy to share with you my experience.
Some glow maximisers can be compared to CT Goldgasm Beauty Wands for sure.
Peachy=Peachgasm, Gold=Goldgasm and Rosy=Pinkgasm.
When it comes to shades of Star Filter I chose a match that is with my Dior Forever Foundation which is 1N and it’s perfect.
I’m using Glow Star Filter mixed with Rosy Maximiser on my cheekbones only for extra natural healthy glowy effect.
Anyway I was very curious about your opinion.
Thank you again for your video.
Greetings.
PSC, xxx
You look amazing. I am sure your old makeup room was happy to have you back.
Thanks for this Morgan! I wonder if you've tried mixing the star filter with your primer? I'm currently really into mixing the glowy stuff with my primer and then lighter coverage foundation on top. Gives a really nice glowy from within look. Also, I use the givenchy Prisme libre loose powder to set everything...it might tone down the glow further (at first) BUT usually, after an hour or 2, when the makeup has truly set and my oils slowly peek through, that glow from within returns but it's so wonderfully soft and gentle. I have generally dry sometimes thirsty skin for reference. Greetings from Germany! -- Fiza
ohh will have to try
@@MorganTurnerMakeup I'd be interested to know how you like it :) also, I'm waiting for and looking forward to your review of the Chanel Touche de Teint 🫶
Been waiting for this!! Can’t wait to pick it up. Never tried the Charlotte but i do have the E.L.F. one and I love it. Would love a lighter weight one so yay! ❤
I would say this is definitely a lighter weight version of the ELF, the type of glow/finish is similar!
You look amazing in this video. Love the brows.
What it comes to mind is def find the good foundation and instead if bronzer, some Jones Road drops. Super natural
Amd ofc, some concelear and some natural liquid blush like Saie, and some brown eye pencil, Ilia mascara and lip treatment.
I think both products look beautiful on you! My favorite is the pink highlighter. I was curious how the liquid highlight would compare to the Rare Beauty ones.
I like the look of the highlighter but I love liquid highlights, liquid everything sits better on my skin xx
I got the bronze for face contour and rosy for blush and peach 🍑 for the eyelids. Pass on the pearl and pink too cool tone for me
Loved this video Morgan, but I love Dior too. I bought a couple of the the powder Couture illuminizer highlighters which are beautiful and I really appreciated the test with a more affordable foundation in matte to see how it turned out, and your skin did look lovely, well done you. Thank You lovely 🥰 🌟
Dior is great!
Finally! I was waiting specifically for your review!!🎉
Thank you for taking the time to review products for us. 😊
I think I will stick to my elf one but it didn't cover much but I know its the the purpose of the product. I will ask what is the dual brush you use. I have seen you use it but didn't notice what it is.
It’s an Hourglass brush😊
@@BlingyBea Thank you. 🥰
@@GuadalupeBernabe5902 your welcome
I prefer Dior over CT simply because all the CT products tend to heavier & Dior formulas are definitely much more better & luxurious.
Are you happy with shade 2 or do you think shade 3 would have been better? We are shade twins and I’d like to just pick up one, but can’t decide between 2 or 3.
Ty for your review. I went a shade more tan so that will be interesting to play with come spring summer
You look so good! I want going to pick any up but now I'm reconsidering it lol
Love your videos. ❤️ . I hope you try the new Patrick Ta bkush shades. Espeically She's the Moment. Id love to see how it looks on your skintone. 😊
Amazing video!! Enjoyed so much
I don’t own any Dior but I am very curious to see how the Bronze shade would be. VERY curious! I liked your look. Natural beauty is what I would call it.
Great video! Have you tried the OneSize Secure The Glow? Curious what your thoughts are on that .
Im liking it so far!
It looks stunning
Charlotte be the first and always getting ripped off 😅
Armani had it before CT
Becca had a liquid shimmering skin perfector years before ct
Mac strobe cream has been around a lot longer!
MAC had strobe cream xx
@@trudysloan yes true
Gosh Dior really suits you, you look extra beautiful today.. :) always beautiful, just extra today
Oooh i bet the pink liquid luminizer would be very pretty over top a matte blush 🥰 i’ve been loving Dior lately
Tried the pink luminizer over a matte pink blush today and talk about a gorgeous glow from within!
What about auric cosmetics 😊
You looked really offensive about then being very subtle on the eyes but i gues that's the whole point Dior is making. Because not every eye look has to be bold & shades need to be fully pigmented.
They copied Armani too. Armani's Fluid Sheer Glow Enchancers are in the same shades but come in a .6 oz pump bottle (more product for a little less at Sephora) I prefer the cute pump bottle to a doe foot or messy sponge applicator - so these are a pass for me.
ohh yes yes!
Did you order the new ND palette to review?
Hey! Would you mind comparing to Saie starglow? Imo that seems to have a more similar “skincare glow” to the Dior than CT
wait omg yes i will have to do that
based on just what i can pull out of mind rn the saie in more metallic and reflective, but the feel is similar
@@MorganTurnerMakeup amazing!! Ty queen 🤩 I have the saie but the Dior foundation is my go-to so if this pairs better w the foundation than the saie then I may make the switch 🤭
Can you do a full face of benefit vs milk makeup
This makes me want to try Dior beauty 😅
honestly I just love the brand
Dior's version is non-comodegenic and CT's isn't so if you're an acne prone girlie get the Dior!
Is this foundation as fragranced as the other dior foundations?
I didnt notice any fragrance
Weird the ct never set on me and made everything slip and slide and finger printy. I hated it.
lol sorry one more comment thank you for recommending ordering on their site i love the little gifts ! a way to try more ❤🎉
yes yes yes 100% recommend!
The light pink has sold out already . From the blush category.
wow so fast!
Very pretty! I am going for the star filter, and will try to use it as a luminizer on top too.
The rosy luminizer is very pretty and the perfect shade for you and indeed reminds me of CT’s beauty wand (looove it, but I don’t need another one, I am more a powder blush person (44 yo and skin says it’s better😂)
Great review! Thanks Morgan!!
I feel like the roll on highlighters from Iconic London did it way better than the Dior Glow Maximizers. (Similar products) But I'd love to see you compare those two! 🎉
How does this compare to the elf halo glow??
This one is more sheer!
Hi! What brush are you using?
It's an Hourglass double ended brush
Thank you!
So many people hate on my favorite brand CT but with everyone and anyone copying HER formulas! ❤ that says something and that’s some of her makeup so good we gotta have another version! And another and another! Lol😅
✨💖✨
Hello beautiful Morgan 😍
Hello!!
❤❤❤
I guess it's not for the oily skin ladies😂😅 At least not for me. I would look more than sweaty
There are pretty, but I'd never spend money on it!
Very glowy, almost like that pregnancy glow!! 🚼🤰
Does that mean this is a dupe video? 🤔
Your ring light is too bright for us to see the color.
WOAHH FIRST VIEW
Can you change your intro and music? It sounds like a little girls music. It seems inappropriate now you’re older. Its time!
Omg those products look stunning !!!
I wish you would have turned down the light of the camera. They’re obviously very pigmented when you show your arm unlike on camera 😭
