This movie may be almost 10 years old, but it's still one of the greatest Disney/Pixar animated movies of all time. The movie begins with a lack of dialogue, requiring the viewer to interpret WALL-E's actions, the background scenes provided, and the objects WALL-E interacts with in their own way, with this spectacular soundtrack added in to further strengthen the viewer's interpretations. What a damn good movie.
"Too much garbage in your face? There's plenty of space out in space! BNL starliners leaving each day! We'll clean up the mess while you're away!" "The Jewel of the BNL fleet, the Axiom! Spend your 5-year cruise in style! Waited on 24 hours a day by our fully-automated crew! While your captain and auto-pilot chart a course for non-stop entertainment, fine dining, and with our all-access hover-chairs, even grandma can join the fun! There's no need to walk! The Axiom, putting the 'star' in executive starliners." "Because the BNL space is the final fun-tier!"
Perfectly moody for such conditions... a whole planet, abandoned, full of waste, practically dead... and you’re all alone. Everyone is gone. Wall E is robot but... you can’t help but feel sorry for him. Hard to imagine how it tough it is to be literally the last one on earth.
The most chilling title opening of any film, how it just fades in "Wall·E" with this mysterious harp overlay as we see what became of our planet from our own doing. Scary and mysterious by its simplicity.
