- In 1992, the song "It's A Fine Day" was covered by Opus III, with vocals by Kirsty Hawkshaw. When I first heard this track I was blown away, one of my favourite all-time songs. I tried to make my own cover using Cubase Artist 7 and various software synths. I tried to make it as authentic as I could. Hopefully it does the song justice! Please also check out my Soundcloud account: / juno-dreams
Software synths used:
Drums - various drum samples, mostly TR-909 samples. Also layered is a drum loop taken from a remix of a Utah Saints track.
Bass - layered patches from Diva and Trilian
Main Pad - 3 Layered patches (M1 Choir, Nexus Choir, Kontakt sample from a JD800 patch)
Arpeggio - ImpOscar
Synth Hits - Mono/Poly
Hi Strings - Korg M1
House Piano - Korg M1
Sax Solo - Korg M1
Chimes - Korg M1
Vocal Hits - taken from the acapella version
Birds - taken from the acapella version
