The biddy baby segment killed me!! Lolol one of the funniest reseller stories I’ve heard! 🤣 Thank you for being the best reseller content out there that is the most relatable and helpful!
I just about peed my pants when Margarete made the doll “peek” at you on the stairway. I literally laughed out loud. Omg- she’s my kind of friend. You are very lucky to have her in your life! Fabulous video. 🩷💚
Thank you for answering my question! I assumed you paid Tina well by the hour but wanted to check. I'm trying to ramp up my reselling biz so I'm absorbing all of this wonderful info. ♥️♥️♥️ I have teens that I might be able to add to payroll at some point. 🤞🤞 (If they'd stop playing video games and watching tv long enough to help 🤣🤣) I sell mostly breakable hard goods so I'm picky about shipping.
My sister died on Jan 6th this year and we were estranged. Watching you go through your Dad's illness and LuLu helped me not feel so alone in the moment. Also, Jack and Ryan...I love your channels...Just keep being you. I like you.
I personally enjoy longer videos, thank you for taking the time to answer so many questions. Lumpy looks so much like my son’s labradoodle- same coloring, but my son’s dog isn’t quite as curly. I call her my granddoodle :) Anyway, thank you again! 😊🐾
Lumpy is so cute. As an animal rescuer I would like to suggest if you decide to add another dog to your family to please consider a rescue dog. If you're set on a certain breed or coat type there are plenty of breed specific rescues. Also, public shelters that do euthanize have plenty of purebred dogs as well. There are transports that bring dogs from here in the south where we have so many strays, abandoned dogs, and surrendered dogs, as well as breeders trying to make a quick buck. Saving a life is so much more important than a coat color.
So good to see Mr. Lump! My female poodle toy was apricot color like Lump. Her name was Spice Girl( she was named Ginger by previous owner at 9 months) I previously had a dog named Nutmeg, so I didn’t want to name her another Spice name, so she became my wild Spice Girl. My Vet at the time was trying to re-home the dog as an elderly couple got her from a family member to replace their dog that recently passed away, Spice came to live with me shortly after Nutmeg passed. 🐾🐾❣️ I had a bunch of different male Cockers. I just loved Cockers. ❤️❣️💋 My Mom passed after in moved to SF from Ohio. I was so upset, I was 25 at the time. Being away from home made it difficult. She just had her 66 bd in Oct and died end of November. She was in the last stages of Hodgkin disease. It took sbout 3 years to get over her death. She was just becoming my friend and not “just” my mother❣️I think of her often, it’s hard at this time of the year. She taught me to be strong and independent 🤩❣️🌟 Thank you for being so real on this video, I understand totally what you said☮️❣️
Omg, I started weeping on the question about balance and grief, so relatable, I started my closet after putting my Sweetness, Izzy, down 8/1/19, and then my brother started died in 8 months afterwards. I was a mess and still am, but my business has kept me out of the very deep depths of depression. Thank you
Lori I cried with you when you talked about your dad’s death. My dad died in 2005 and I still have my occasional moments of grief. It’s a testament to their life that they are missed so very much. God bless you. I love your channel.
Oh my gosh I soooo relate to the doll situation!!! Hilarious! Loved this story and love that the friend is so on board and just gets it. It was all so comical and love the humor. We do crazy things to avoid canceling a sale 😅
Oh I love the Thriftcast! thank you !! I so admire how you have upped your Ebay "game" over the past few years... and the ending & sell similar strategy is a winner. Another approach (although ending today is a winner) to choosing items to end and sell similar is to sort your active by "start date" - just click on that column title and they will sort by earliest, or clicking again, by last listed. Anyway, sort by oldest start date and choose some of those to relist. I'm always astounded how many oldies I find LOL. Keep it up kiddo! and your calendar / work time conversation is great. Sometimes I do a week of "reverse scheduling"... where instead of putting plans in my calendar, i block out what I actually did in one or two hour blocks. Then I color code the time. Helps to find "out of balance" categories. Sleep, Heidi, sleep. xoxox.
Lori, I am enjoying your Slow Fashion Friday videos so much but this was such a nice diversion. I learn so much from your videos and look forward to them every week. Your purging and organizing makes my OCD heart so proud! I do love a good "Before and After". Keep up the good work. Everything you've done so far looks amazing. I am a fellow Cancer (July 13) and see so much in common with you except that I am over-the-top with organization to the point that it drives me crazy sometimes that I can't let things go and relax once in a while. I really love seeing that sweet little Lumpy too. He is just precious. I lost my sweet fur baby last year and still haven't taken the plunge to get another one yet. I am also an empty nester ( for much longer than you so you're still in the early stages of grief! LOL!) and really do miss that presence in the house during the day. There was always someone to talk to besides myself! I will be ready eventually to get a new baby but not quite yet. I also lost my dad in 2021 and I will say that the first year was just the hardest so my heart breaks for you when I hear you talk about losing your dad and how it's still so hard to believe he's gone. That first year of "Firsts without him" are the hardest for sure. It has gotten easier to talk about my dad now as I know it will for you too. Prayers for you and your family continue. P.S. thanks for sharing the doll story--that was hysterical and your friend's granddaughter giving that baby one last goodbye and throwing her on the table! Priceless!
I had the worst past 4 years, and I can certainly relate. So sorry for your losses. I broke my hand, lost my job as a result in 2019, husband fell and needed 24/7 care for over a year, and then bypass surgery and died, I had heart surgery and neuro surgery, my daughter lost her dad, and had Covid X3. I’ve been working on a huge death pile that fills my apartment after an estate sale binge while husband was in the hospital. Suddenly I was stuck with it all and in no condition to list when he died late 2022. Now I do absolutely no thrifting because I have a death pile that will last years. So hard to get motivated. One day at a time.
We have a little Lumpy also! Her name is Candy and is a Cackapoo and the same colors. Her birthday is Jan 29th and she will be a year old. She is an early Christmas gift for our two little girls.
I am a few years behind you for turning 50 and I have been in denial I need readers lol I swear it was like BAM!!! I suddenly couldn't read anything at a normal distance to my face lol Thanks for keeping me company photographing Lori! xoxo Melissa
Hi Mrs. Lori!! I have ran sales through posherVA. I did see an increase in sales as well. I wish they would allow you to select a certain category. Example: 50% off all jeans or shoes. That would help a lot.
OMG…what’s the saying, stealing candy from a child!! Oh Lori, the horror. I LAUGHED OUT LOUD but was also so sad for Stella getting her baby doll stolen from her. And on her birthday! 😢😩🤦🏻♀️😂🤣 I know that you made it up to her!! Hopefully she’ll remember and will be telling this story for years to come for a good chuckle. And OMG, my former baby brother-in-law lives in Leominster…Lumpy from Leominster!! And Lumpy’s namesake is so precious. 🐾🖤 Thanks so much for all your pro tips etc. I love learning from you. I think I’ll do the February thing for sure. While only part-time, February is my one year reselling anniversary. Cross fingers! You have been such a guiding light for me. I appreciate you. Thank YOU for all that you are and all that you do. ❤
Hi Lori. I’m watching your video, which is great, and I got a pop-up that said, “Your feedback was shared with the creator.” I have no idea what this was for because I didn’t send feedback! Whatever you got, supposedly from me, I hope it was glowing reviews because I just love your videos! If it wasn’t a glowing review, then it wasn’t from me!
I understand wanting to get a dog of a different color. Our tri color Cavalier King Charles spaniel Darby died and when we were ready for another dog, we went to pick out the new one and one of the puppies was a clone of Darby. it just made me cry when I was holding her and we eventually picked Tully, who's a ruby (kinda of fox color). It makes it easier and he certainly has his own personality also.
Lori, you crack me up!! Lumpy is so adorable sitting in your car!! Out for a ride!!! Lori, you are so human!! ❤ I just spent 2 days thrifting with my sister, now going off thrifting with my daughter!!! I am not a reseller! I just buy for myself. I did buy some things for Christmas! Hugs from Michigan!! ❤
Oh Lori, I saw a trick last night with apples. Peal and freeze the apple, then grate it into a bowl and top with whatever you like. It looked amazing and keeps you from eating junk snacks! :) Thanks for your content as always!
I sell similar my ebay items when they are about to renew after 30 days. I will often take a look at the listing and find mistakes. I also find that there are more watchers and interest on the item after has been ended and relisted as a new item. I think it is worth the time. Also good for you for the discipline to work on cleaning out. It is so easy to accumulate (ask me how I know that).
Your friend is a sweetheart cherish her always none of us are perfect please show us the doll you give two year grand baby this was an awesome share you still rock ❤
Thanks! I am or I was in a similar bind. Way too much inventory and poorly labeled or mislabeled pkgs. and I “need the sales $ about as badly as you do👭I think you and I could compare endless notes. All you did was try to make a profit and enjoyed the process. My low point was watching you and chastising myself. Now that I have cut my losses by donating more product than I sold…I’m going to attempt to just do an occasional bins run, or incorporate some thrift shopping with a social event. Good luck to you 🎉
You don't know or understand until you go through it. Truer words never spoken. I lost my brother in May and my dad in July this year. I'm still in the "just keep swimming" stage.
Thank you for your openness. You are very blessed❤️ Boston strong:) Glad you are sharing how important it is for all of us to stop and remember the important things in life:) love your creativity!
Very, very true, not what I would have done, but it's not like it was her favorite, otherwise I'm sure both Lori & Grandma wouldn't even consider it. Seemed to me it just started out w/ Lori going crazy looking for it, just wondering where the doll was for piece of mind & her friend offered the doll back. To me it seems they have a very loving, honest friendship & Margarette was just "funning it up" for the video. I'm sure that grand baby is getting plenty of love, attention, & toys. Mine always had more fun w/ the box at that age than the toy. 😅
