This video should be played every time some punk says that “military people aren’t special ; they’re like everyone else.” It takes nerves of steel to poke your face up and out of a tiny hole that your buddy just received a head shot from. Soldiers ARE special people and should be treated as such; instead of coming home mentally and physically injured and left to their own devices.
Bullet went through helmet .. the large lump being bandaged on the back of his head... is the 2nd piece of proof other than the helmet showing bullet went through.
The helmets are literally designed to keep bullets from piercing your head. Sometimes soldiers will die from a helmet shot, but not from pierce. Concussion/blunt force is what kills them
@@sgtzack612 Yup, helmets are mostly for storage and to block debris. To have a helmet thick enough to stop a bullet that isn’t shot from five miles away like the one in this video must have been, it would weigh so much that it’d crack your neck when you wore it.
Actually, it worked perfectly. The helmets are hardened kevlar; those kevlar fibers are designed to wrap around a bullet and not let go. Look at the "hole" again. You should see some tiny stringy bits amidst the deformation, that means they wrapped around the bullet and absorbed most of the energy before they snapped, there is a bulge but no full penetration. The helmet is no longer effective, but those are much easier to replace than a soldier.

I have never in my entire life heard someone say "military people deserve to be left to their own devices when they come home"
"Him surviving a shot because it didn't pierce the helmet is equivalent to winning the lottery."
Bullet went through helmet .. the large lump being bandaged on the back of his head... is the 2nd piece of proof other than the helmet showing bullet went through.
@@codyramos3200 bullet ricochets
@@5thhorsemen578 huh?
@@codyramos3200 the bullet ricocheted off his helmet
The helmets are literally designed to keep bullets from piercing your head. Sometimes soldiers will die from a helmet shot, but not from pierce. Concussion/blunt force is what kills them
Odd, bullet punctured the inside helmet fibers.
Military: “You weren’t supposed to do that.”
The helmets they wear are level III-A, they bank on ricochets not fully stopping the round.
Fuck U.S imperialism, bullet should have gone through.
