His accomplishments and how he won considering the status of the Bulls when he was drafted by them and where he took them was pure greatness. Kobe had Laker power. Duncan had Pop and the boys. This shot going in was so significant.... it happened in 1989.... if he doesn't make it then don't go to the next round obviously and definitely not to the Eastern Conference Finals to play the Bad Boy Pistons and who knows how many years the Bulls are away from having success in the upcoming years. Especially even WITH THIS shot going in to win, it took a couple years to get to the Finals.... so iconic this shot and this game.
I'm sure it gave the Bulls confidence and reason to keep the current team together and not make off-season changes that would hinder the start of something so great. Like 6 rings in the 90's. Such a significant shot and great this video was here for all to watch as it marked THEE BEGINNING OF THE BULLS DYNASTY.

At 1:55, we see Mark Price is literally GRABBING the guy he's defending (3-point sharp shooter Craig Hodges). This is back in the day in the NBA when defenders would manhandle players. That's what makes Jordan so incredible - the fact that he did all this stuff during the roughest period of the Association when you could get away with anything on defense.

If you sneezed on MJ you got called for a foul, did you watch basketball in the 90s?

dizzyd Jordan shot more free throws and avg more points in the 80s! Go fact check before you say stupid shit! So many dudes in the 90s shot more free throws per game than Jordan!

@@dempseyhighroller1886clearly you didn't kid. Because bulls only lead in free throws only once in the finals. And so what its Michael Jordan he was a superstar and superstar get superstar calls so stop crying lefanboy

This is awesome, ive never seen these alternate angles and postgame interviews before! Jerry Reinsdorf looks like he just saw God. One of the greatest playoff games ive ever seen & a monumental moment in the evolution of the MJ legacy.

This is why MJ is the king. He was SO ELOQUENT right after he wins the series he immediately talks about missing free throws. So intelligent, so humble in front of the media at least.

Thanks Bob, this is truly amazing. You have no idea what it's like to watch that classic footage of 'The Shot' for nearly 30 years (MJ celebrating, Ehlo in despair) and then discover this..raw court level footage, shot in the heart of that moment. This is a real treasure. Can look back and actually see you guys now in the classic footage! Thanks again for posting
