- The Russian Army hopes to completely capture the Kharkiv region soon. Amid intense fighting, the Russians have gotten a big boost in their Kharkiv mission. A total of 18 Ukrainian soldiers have "surrendered in Kharkiv's Kupyansk." According to the Russian Defence Ministry, the surrender came after nearly 300 Ukrainian troops died in the Russian blitzkrieg.

Russia has been following a strategy from the start. At first, Russia had the intent to get the SMO done in a short period of time. When that did not workout, they decided it best to take a defensive position and defend rather than attack after taking Bakhmut. It is easier to defend than attack. They needed to do this to buy time so they could ramp up production of ammo and equipment. They achieved this and then went on the offensive. Russia is now fully armed with a large stockpile of ammo. They have plenty of rockets, drones, shells, and glide bombs now. The FAB 1500 & 3000 is enough to intimidate anyone into surrender.
Since the times of Stalingrad the Russians have gained enormous military experience. They do not intend to destroy the Ukrainean population but just want to get rid of those Bandera crooks. Using the methods of Vietnam or Hiroshima they would already have finished their mission, but that is not their aim.
Which makes the issue very complicated to the Russians.
