- Join Douglas as he heads into the central Highlands to bag the 3 isolated Munros south of Loch Laggan: Beinn a'Chlachair, Geal Chàrn and Creag Pitridh. This is a long walk, coming in at 26km, although the terrain is fairly easy going with good tracks and paths for most of it. On a clear day you should get great views of the surrounding Munros of Chno Dearg, the Easains, the Grey Corries and the Aonach Beag range. There is also a stunning sandy beach at Lochan na h-Earba, which you'll pass near the beginning and end of the route.

Thanks for the Video. I climbed these in October 1999, cycled to Loch na h earba, and walked the circuit, the bike saved a lot of walking. The weather was really fine, but cold, with a fair bit snow coming down on the descent.
Awesome, that sounds like a good day out! A bike would definitely have been handy for this one. I may need to make a purchase at some point 🚲 Thanks for watching 😃
Well done Douglas another great vid, will use it as a guide for next summer when i head out to the hills again, cheers👍
Thanks Billy, glad you enjoyed it! Hopefully you’ll get better weather than we did 🌧 I imagine there’s be some great views on a good day 😎
Enjoyed that, went around these 3 yesterday 😁 I took my bike up to the fork off towards Beinn A’Chlachair, was glad I did for the way back 😂 great drone footage of the Loch too, like you say it would be great for a day trip by itself!
Atb, James
Thanks James! Hopefully you got better weather than we did - looking forward to your video 👍 We saw a few bikes at that fork - I might have been a wee bit jealous 😂 Cheers, Douglas
I've never thought of doing these 3 via this route. Another cracking video!
Thanks Calum! I just followed the standard WH route to be fair. Did you have a different route in mind?
@@HighlandHikers I’ve had a total brain fart. I’ve confused these 3 with a different set. I was thinking of the Creag Meagaidh Circuit. Numpty so I am. Haha! Still… cracking video!
Haha, no worries! They’re pretty close to each other, so an easy mistake to make 🙃
Unlucky with the weather Douglas but still a great walk. Might try and walk these this year! Thanks for sharing! Paul
Thanks Paul! To be fair it’s about time I got some cloudy summits. Been pretty lucky since we started doing these videos. If you’re looking to stay somewhere nearby I’d recommend the Laggan hotel.
Nice one Douglas. It's a guid wee round. I mind thinking Creag Pitridh wis a wee short yin like.
Thanks Kevin! Yeah, Pitridh just looks like a wee bump when you see it from a’Chlachair. I think in the video I said there was only 150m of ascent - but checking the map it’s actually only about 100m! A debatable Munro for sure.
Brilliant Video Douglas! New sub here!
Thank you, much appreciated! Have you been to Scotland before?
